On May 28, near the Princess Anne Plaza neighborhood, police responded to a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from a commercial parking lot. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
In the Pembroke area on May 29, officers handled an alleged aggravated assault outside a restaurant in the early evening. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are asking for public assistance in identifying a male suspect described as approximately 25 to 30 years old, medium build, last seen wearing a gray hoodie and dark jeans. The case remains under investigation.
On May 30, in the vicinity of Oceanfront, an alleged robbery occurred at a convenience store. The suspect reportedly displayed a weapon and demanded cash before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The case is active, and detectives are seeking tips from the community.
Later that evening, a reported vandalism incident was documented in the Lynnhaven area, where multiple vehicles in a shopping center lot sustained property damage. The incident is under investigation.
During the early morning hours of May 31 in the Kempsville area, officers responded to an alleged domestic dispute resulting in assault charges. One arrest was made at the scene, and the case is pending court proceedings.
On June 1, police responded to an alleged larceny from a construction site near the Salem corridor. Several tools and equipment were reported missing. The investigation is ongoing.
Throughout the past week, property crimes, particularly theft from vehicles and retail establishments, were noted in several neighborhoods. No patterns suggest a single perpetrator or group at this time, but residents are urged to remain vigilant.
