Between May 31 and June 6, 2025, Virginia Beach Police responded to multiple criminal incidents across the city.

In the Oceanfront district, officers responded to an alleged aggravated assault near Atlantic Avenue and 22nd Street in the early morning hours of June 1. The victim reported being struck during a dispute. The incident remains under investigation.

On June 2, in the Kempsville area near Providence Road and Indian River Road, officers investigated a burglary at a retail establishment. Entry was allegedly gained after hours and merchandise was reported stolen. The case is currently under investigation.

A robbery was reported on June 3 in the vicinity of Lynnhaven Parkway and Holland Road. According to police, a suspect allegedly demanded cash from a convenience store clerk and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark hoodie and jeans. Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect. The case remains open.

In the Bayside neighborhood near Independence Boulevard and Haygood Road, patrol conducted a traffic stop on June 4 that led to the recovery of suspected narcotics and an illegally possessed firearm. Two adult suspects were arrested at the scene and charged with drug and weapons offenses.

On June 5, officers responded to a larceny report in the Town Center area near Virginia Beach Boulevard and Constitution Drive. The complainant alleged theft of personal property from a parked vehicle. The incident is under active investigation.

The department also assisted Virginia State Police during the week with crime suppression operations across the city, resulting in the recovery of additional firearms and narcotics. These operations are ongoing and involve multiple agencies.

Review of reports for the week indicates a continued trend of property crimes involving unlocked vehicles, as well as an increase in street-level drug and weapons seizures linked to proactive enforcement efforts. Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles and remain vigilant.
