  • Got collective grief????
    2024/12/31

Happy New Year's Eve!!!! In preparation for 2025, I reflect that for many, collective grief over the election results are more than political disappointment; they resurface long-standing wounds rooted in systemic oppression, the pursuit of whiteness, and a disconnection from cultural and ancestral roots. These undercurrents can leave us feeling exhausted, and uncertain about the path forward. Pero hoy, we aren’t just talking about the pain—we’re also talking about resilience. How do we process collective grief while nurturing hope and reclaiming our power?

We’ll explore practices for grounding ourselves, like finding glimmers of joy and connection in small moments, building awareness, allowing ourselves to rest, and seeking support from trusted communities. Most importantly, we’ll discuss ways to transform our grief into action, empowering ourselves to envision and create a more just world.

So whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, numb, or fired up, this episode is for you. Together, we’ll hold space for what hurts and make room for what heals. Porque en Spanglish se sana mejor!!!
