In this compelling non-fiction narrative, Sinay, a retired educator and seasoned author, delves into the heartbreaking and often unspoken issue of parents and grandparents being cut off from their children and grandchildren.

Why is America so divided? What is the origin of this problem? I tried to answer that question when I wrote the book. The book is a day-to-day writing about events in a person’s life—my observations of America during a twenty-five thousand-mile trip around the country. My journey started in Indio, California, and I took along the South to the Southeast, then to the Northeast, then back along a Northern route to the Midwest and the Northwest, and then full circle back home.

Confessions of an English Teacher: A Memoir of My Teaching Years was written to share some of my extraordinary experiences teaching English at six high schools and seven community colleges in Orange County, California, from 1973 to 2018. I share these memories because they were so disappointing in their discovery.
