Commercial: DRAKE (Drake Realty (Geoff) Story 1: Trump moves to dismiss Georgia election interference case Donald Trump’s legal team has asked the Georgia Court of Appeals to dismiss an indictment accusing him of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. They argue that under the U.S. Constitution, a president-elect, like a sitting president, cannot be indicted or prosecuted. Trump, recently reelected to a second term, will take office on Jan. 20. The lawyers also claimed political bias by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, citing Trump’s recent electoral victory in Georgia. This follows the dismissal of two federal indictments against Trump after his November reelection. Story 2: UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson killed outside investor conference in New York City UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, was shot and killed Wednesday outside a Hilton hotel in midtown Manhattan while entering for the company’s annual investor conference. The masked gunman fled on a bicycle, and police are investigating the targeted attack, though the motive remains unknown. Thompson, who took over UnitedHealth Group’s insurance division in 2021, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. The conference was canceled following the incident, with UnitedHealth Group CEO Andrew Witty acknowledging the seriousness of the situation. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and others expressed shock and condolences over the loss. A police press conference is scheduled to provide further updates. Story 3: World of Coca-Cola Debuts New Holiday Express at Pemberton Place World of Coca-Cola is launching the Coca-Cola Holiday Express, a new holiday pop-up railcar experience, starting Dec. 7 and open on weekends through Dec. 29. Partnering with Georgia Aquarium, the festive event includes two railcars providing immersive journeys to the North and South Poles. Guests can enjoy photo ops with Santa, a Coca-Cola surfboard, and seasonal decorations, such as velvet accents and twinkling lights. Visitors also have access to Pemberton Place Park and festive beverages. Access to the event is included with Pemberton Place attraction tickets, with special “skip the line” privileges for same-day tickets to both World of Coca-Cola and Georgia Aquarium.
