    2. Inside every trauma is a miracle waiting to be discovered.

Starting with a book from a Wales physician, she changed her diet, then quickly realized the key to wellness is through regulating the nervous system.

In this episode, Jennifer explains how our bodies know how to heal itself and we all need to take self care seriously as it is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Everyday is a spa day, was her mantra that got her through healing herself. We need to regulate our nervous system so our immune system can turn on and the body can heal itself.

Examples of ways to regulate the nervous system mentioned in this episode:

    • Qi Gong
    • Meditation
    • Laying Still
    • Breathwork
    • Box Breathing
    • Wim Hof app or other breathwork apps

Jennifer uses the analogy of a traffic light to ask yourself, What does my Heart, Mind and Body say about this? Red is stop, Green is go. All areas need to work together. Listen to them.

  • FISH! Book Summary
    2024/12/04

We spend nearly 75% of our day on work related activities—getting ready for work, traveling to work, thinking about work, doing work, and winding down after work. If we spend this much time doing something, we better enjoy it, not dread it. Work needs to energize us, not drain us.

The book, FISH! By Stephan C. Lundin, Harry Paul and John Christensen is the story of the world-famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, WA that first was a video produced by John Christensen and his company, Chart House, to illustrate what happens when you create a work environment that makes work enjoyable and engaging.

Now, in print form FISH! is a parable about one department on floor 3 in a large financial institution that is known as the Toxic Energy Dump who learns 4 lessons from Pike Place Fish Market to find their own deep source of energy, creativity, and passion to create a work environment others want to work in.

In FISH! The authors weave in four lessons to create a great work environment where employees want to come to work, are energized and have fun.

    They include:

    • Choose Your Attitude
    • Play
    • Make Their Day
    • Be Present
