  • Should Denmark "Sell" Greenland to the US? Can AI offer a win-win Solution?
    2025/03/28

Trump vs. Frederiksen: The Greenland Dispute

What if the U.S. bought Greenland for $1.5 trillion? In this eye-opening video, futurist Lars Tvede explores this bold scenario and its global implications.

    $1.5 Trillion: A Bargain?

Greenland holds massive untapped mineral wealth—rare earths, uranium, zinc, gold, and more. Its value as a resource hub and Arctic stronghold could justify the price, both economically and strategically.

    Greenland’s Hidden Treasures

    Key resources include:

Rare Earths for tech and green energy

Uranium, Zinc, Lead, Gold, and Iron Ore

Battery metals like Nickel, Copper, Cobalt

    Gemstones, including rubies and sapphires

These are critical for the green transition and global tech supply chains.

    Climate Change Opens New Frontiers

As the ice melts, vast areas may become accessible for mining, energy projects, and development, unlocking huge long-term potential.

    Arctic Power Play

Greenland boosts U.S. military presence and control in the Arctic. With shipping routes shifting and geopolitical tension rising, Greenland could become the new global chessboard.

    Denmark’s $1.5 Trillion Windfall

Denmark could lower world-leading tax rates and boost GDP per capita dramatically. Like Norway or Switzerland, it could invest in infrastructure, education, and clean tech—elevating its status among the world’s richest nations.

  • Aubrey De Grey - Longevity Escape Velocity - 7 pillars of immortality
    2025/03/13

The 7 Pillars of Longevity Escape Velocity – How Close Are We?

Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV) is when medical advancements extend lifespan faster than we age, effectively halting aging. But how close are we? In this video, we break down the seven pillars of longevity, how far we’ve come, and AI’s role—both its current limits and its potential to accelerate breakthroughs.

    The 7 Pillars & AI’s Role

🧬 1. Cell Loss & Tissue Atrophy (60% solved, 15 years to go)
    • Problem: Some cells (like heart and brain) don’t regenerate, causing tissue decline.
    • Progress: Stem cell therapies are advancing rapidly.
    • AI’s Role: High – AI helps optimize cell growth, regenerative medicine, and personalized stem cell treatments.

🧪 2. Extracellular Junk (Amyloids & Plaques) (50% solved, 18 years to go)
    • Problem: Toxic protein buildup (like Alzheimer’s plaques) clogs tissues.
    • Progress: Beta-amyloid immunotherapies show promise.
    • AI’s Role: High – AI speeds up drug discovery, diagnostics, and treatment development.

🔬 3. Intracellular Junk (Lysosomal Waste) (40% solved, 20 years to go)
    • Problem: Cells accumulate waste they can’t break down.
    • Progress: Senolytics and enzyme-based therapies in early research.
    • AI’s Role: Medium – AI helps simulate cleanup processes and design new enzyme-based treatments.

    🧿 4. DNA Mutations & Cancer (70% solved, 12 years to go)
    • Problem: DNA damage causes cancer, a leading cause of death.
    • Progress: CRISPR, CAR-T therapy, and early cancer vaccines.
    • AI’s Role: High – AI improves early detection, drug discovery, and personalized medicine.

⚡ 5. Mitochondrial Dysfunction (30% solved, 22 years to go)
    • Problem: Mitochondria power our cells, but mutations lead to energy decline.
    • Progress: Early work on mitochondrial repair and transplants.
    • AI’s Role: Medium – AI models mitochondrial interactions but can’t yet provide direct solutions.

🦠 6. Zombie Cells (Cell Senescence) (70% solved, 5-10 years to go)
    • Problem: Aging cells refuse to die, releasing toxic signals.
    • Progress: Senolytics are in human trials and showing success.
    • AI’s Role: High – AI accelerates drug discovery and personalized senolytic therapies.

    🩸 7. Crosslinks & Tissue Stiffening (20% solved, 25-30 years to go)
    • Problem: Proteins bind together over time, making tissues stiff and brittle.
    • Progress: Glucosepane crosslink research is ongoing.
    • AI’s Role: Moderate – AI is helping identify enzymes to break crosslinks, but no treatment exists yet.

🧠 AI’s Role – How Much Will It Help?

AI is already accelerating research, but it can’t solve aging alone—yet. The real shift could come with AGI (Artificial General Intelligence).
    • Short term (5-10 years): AI speeds up drug discovery, clinical trials, and personalized medicine.
    • Long term (AGI-level AI): Future AI could model biological systems so precisely that animal and human trials become unnecessary, cutting decades off research.

⏳ When Will We Reach Longevity Escape Velocity?

    Experts have different predictions:
    • Ray Kurzweil: 5 years (2029)
    • Aubrey de Grey: 12-15 years (mid-2030s)
    • David Sinclai

  • Aubrey de Grey: We WILL Defeat Aging – Immortality Is Coming - Part 1
    2025/02/17

Podcast Episode: Aubrey de Grey on the Science of Immortality & Longevity Escape Velocity

Is human immortality inevitable? According to Aubrey de Grey, one of the world’s leading longevity researchers, the answer is yes—or at least, aging will no longer be what kills us. He believes that by the late 2030s or early 2040s, we will reach Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV)—the point where we can repair the body faster than it deteriorates, meaning we may never have to die from aging.

Aubrey compares the human body to a car. A car may be designed to last only 15 years, but with perfect maintenance, it can keep running for a century or more. The same principle applies to humans: if we maintain and repair our bodies efficiently, there’s no reason we should succumb to aging.

In this episode, we explore what happens once we can rejuvenate the human body by 20 years and what that means for those alive today. Curing cancer could take as little as 2 to 2.5 years, and eliminating heart disease might only require 3 to 4 years. But beyond simply extending lifespan, how do we ensure that longevity is matched by quality of life?

We also dive into the case of Bryan Johnson, the biohacker on a mission to live past 150 years. While his ultra-optimized Blueprint lifestyle is slowing his aging, Aubrey de Grey explains why Bryan Johnson is not Jeanne Calment, the longest-lived human in recorded history. So can Bryan really reach his ambitious goal?

Beyond biology, we discuss the critical funding gap in longevity research, with de Grey estimating that $100 million could significantly accelerate progress toward solving aging. Could advances in Ozempic and Yamanaka Factorsplay a key role in future rejuvenation therapies? And how much impact will AI have on unlocking the secrets of longevity?

If Longevity Escape Velocity is inevitable, what does that mean for the future of humanity? Will people in their 40s and 50s today have a real chance at reaching 150 or beyond? Or are we still too far away from making this a reality?

Join the conversation as we explore the future of aging, longevity, and the quest to live indefinitely.
