    2025/06/20
    Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 1 Kings 17:7

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

Today’s daily devotional is about Elijah and the drought. God guided Elijah to proclaim a famine, yet provided for him through a brook and a widow, symbolizing Israel's spiritual drought and God's faithfulness.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: Elijah and the Drought
    Scripture
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:19
In times of scarcity or struggle, how can you remain steadfast in your faith and trust in God's provision?

Have you ever experienced a season of drought in your life—times of spiritual dryness or overwhelming challenges?

Elijah's story during the drought in Israel, found in 1 Kings 17, speaks powerfully to such times. As the nation faced physical famine due to their spiritual waywardness, Elijah, God's faithful prophet, declared this truth to King Ahab.

Despite the bleak circumstances, God’s care for Elijah never wavered. He provided for Elijah at the Kerith Brook with ravens bringing him food, and when the brook dried up, God led him to a widow in Zarephath. There, both Elijah and the widow experienced God's miraculous provision, turning scarcity into sufficiency.

Elijah’s journey reminds us that God is always present, even in our driest seasons. When life feels like a drought, and we are tempted to despair, we must remember God’s faithfulness.

Elijah's reliance on God's guidance and provision teaches us to trust Him fully, even when the path ahead is unclear. In our modern lives, we too may face periods where resources are limited, or our spiritual fervor wanes. Yet, it is during these times that we can most profoundly experience God's provision and grace.

Consider the areas in your life that feel barren or challenging. Are you looking to God for sustenance and direction? Elijah’s story encourages us to seek God's presence, trusting that He will provide what we need in His perfect timing and way.

    REFLECTION
Reflect on your response to challenging seasons. Are you trusting God to meet your needs, or are you succumbing to fear and doubt?

Take time this week to intentionally seek God's presence in prayer and study His Word. Identify the “droughts” in your life and invite God to show His provision and purpose through them.

Commit to trusting Him more deeply, knowing that He is faithful and will provide, often in unexpected ways. Pray for a heart that is open to His guidance and provision, embracing His care even in the most difficult times.

Turn prayer into a two-way conversation and seek God’s guidance with clarity and purpose.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: GOODNESS
Take the time to plant flowers, herbs, or a tree to bless your environment.

    PRAYER
And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
    1 KINGS 17:7
Dear God, when there is drought in our world and recessions in our economy, I will look to You to provide for myself and those I love, like You did for the prophet Elijah by the brook. In the same miraculous manner I thank You that, like the ravens You sustain, You will nourish me through miraculous connections and divine relationships. Place an internal clock within me to know when it's time to move on to the next season of my journey. As I move in obedience, give me the faith to move as the widow did, knowing that if God said it, He will be faithful to perform it. Even when my dreams seem like they’re dying I thank You that when I call upon Your name You will resurrect what seemed to be dead and breathe new life into the promises in my life! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    2025/06/19
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 16:3

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established
    PROVERBS 16:3

    DEVOTION
    Based on Proverbs 16
When we surrender our plans to God, He brings clarity and stability to our minds. Often we strive, plan, and worry about outcomes, but this verse calls us to trust. Committing our works to the Lord isn’t just about asking for His blessing; it’s about releasing control. When we give God our efforts, He aligns our thoughts with His wisdom.

He doesn’t promise immediate success in our terms, but He promises firm direction. If you feel scattered or overwhelmed, try laying your tasks before Him in prayer. Watch how His peace steadies your thoughts and how His purpose shapes your day.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You are trustworthy and wise. You know every detail of my day and every intention of my heart.

CONFESSION: I often move forward without involving You in my plans. I act in haste or anxiety rather than faith.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for caring about my work and offering to establish my thoughts when I surrender them to You.

SUPPLICATION: Father, I give You my schedule, projects, and efforts. Align my thinking with Your truth. When distractions cloud my mind, bring clarity. Help me to act in step with Your Spirit and to trust Your timing. Establish my thoughts with peace and give me wisdom as I move through today.

    PRAYER
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established
    PROVERBS 16:3
Dear Lord, You have given me a body, resources, and talents that ought not to be wasted. I do not want to squander one moment on this earth. Rather, I want to use everything You have given me to glorify You. Empower me today, Lord Jesus, with Your Spirit. Fill this bone and tissue with vitality and ability to follow through on my promises and be about Your kingdom. Give me wisdom to see my resources as tools to build Your Kingdom. Give me clarity to aim my talents like a well-placed arrow toward Your target. Use me, Lord. I am a temple to Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

  • Episode 1376 - Jarvis Kingston And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it
    2025/06/18
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. -

    Genesis 1:28

    DEVOTION
    Based on Genesis 1
From the beginning, God gave humanity purpose and blessing. He created us to thrive, multiply, and steward His creation with wisdom and care. This verse reminds us that our daily work, relationships, and responsibilities are sacred assignments.

We are not here by accident—we’re called to reflect God’s image in how we live, lead, and love. Whether in family life, the workplace, or in caring for the earth, we fulfill God’s commission when we approach life with faithfulness. Let your efforts today be shaped by the knowledge that you were created for impact, made to multiply goodness, and chosen to represent God’s authority on earth.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You are the Creator and Giver of life, the One who blesses us with purpose and responsibility. I praise You for calling me to meaningful work.

CONFESSION: I admit that I sometimes take for granted the roles You’ve entrusted to me. I’ve ignored Your call to steward my life wisely. Forgive me.

THANKSGIVING: Thank You for blessing me with purpose. Thank You for allowing me to make a difference in this world.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to be fruitful in all I do. Help me to live with purpose, lead with love, and steward the resources You’ve given. Remind me daily that I am called to walk in authority, not for pride, but for service, honor, and Your glory. Let my life reflect Your goodness.

    PRAYER
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
    GENESIS 1:28
Dear Lord, There are many endeavors worthy of putting my effort into, but none as worthy as loving You. I want to seek You with all my heart, soul, and might. I want everything I do, say, and believe to echo into eternity. I want my entire being wrapped up in Your glory and empowered for Your mission. Do not just take some of me, Lord, take all of me. I give myself to You. For I know everyone and everything in my life is better off when I am submitted wholeheartidly to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
