As a Florida girl, born and raised, I have experienced a fair number of Hurricanes, but the devastation left behind Hurricane Ian, was heart wrenching.
Recovery after a major disaster, can take weeks, months and years. Many people are grieving the loss of loved ones, loss of precious mementos and loss of livelihood.
There is no "return to normal." It becomes a "adjust to life after."
Know that it takes time to process everything and to heal.
