  • 035 - Going Viral, Staying Grounded: Kierra King's Story
    2025/04/11

This week's episode is an important one.

We're joined by Kierra King, the woman whose TikTok detailing a racist encounter in a California clinic went viral. While many stood behind her, others dismissed her pain. Some even questioned if it was real, calling it a skit. But it wasn't. It's her real life.

What most people didn't see? After that traumatic moment, Kierra sought care at another facility, only to be failed again. Additionally, a coworker later joked about the incident to her face. The original clinic? They still haven't taken accountability.

As black women, we're constantly expected to stay calm even in the face of dehumanization. Because even if we react with anything less than grace, we're labeled as "angry," "classless," or even "aggressive.." And when things do happen to us, we're gaslit into believing it's somehow our fault.

We're so grateful that Kierra chose to share her story and the aftermath with us. In this episode, she talks about what it's been like navigating overnight fame, the emotional toll of it all and how she's doing the work to heal beyond the viral moment. Kierra is strong, grounded, funny and such a light!

    2025/04/02

This week on Doing It All, after a quick weekend recap we’re joined by the incredibly honest, sharp, and hilarious Cameron Oaks Rogers @cameronoaksrogers host of Conversations with Cam, Creator, Mom, Wife and now, Author of Quiet Your Mind and Busy Your Hands!
Cameron is someone who truly gets it when it comes to navigating social media while protecting your peace. She shares the boundaries she holds to keep it all in check, her Hannah Montana approach to being online (when she’s on, she’s ON but when she’s off, she’s OFF), and let’s just say her dms can get chaotic. She also gives us her biggest Instagram ick, and a trend she loves.

Beyond social media, Cameron opens up about receiving a recent diagnosis and how that’s shifted her perspective on work, life, and self-care. She also takes us through her day-to-day routine, sharing how her village steps up in big ways to help her juggle it all—because no one does it alone.

  • 030 - Evelynn Escobar is Doing It All! Nature, Nurture, and Community.
    2025/03/12

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re sitting down with a woman who isn’t just making history—she’s rewiring it. @evelynnworld Evelynn Escobar, founder of @hikeclerb Hike Clerb, has built a movement that empowers racialized people to reconnect with the outdoors. She’s reclaiming space, redefining belonging, and reminding us that nature is for everyone.
At a time when DEI efforts are being challenged and the environment feels more precious than ever, this conversation is necessary. We’re diving into the intersection of representation, environmental justice, and the radical act of rest in nature—because touching grass isn’t just a hobby, it’s resistance.
Evelynn also opens up about motherhood, how she includes her toddler in everything she does, and how she’s preparing to welcome another child. She shares her journey with home birthing, the importance of being surrounded by a team that has your best interest at heart, and how her village has helped her show up as the best version of herself.
This is a must-listen for anyone who has ever felt like they don’t belong—whether in the outdoors, in certain spaces, or in systems that weren’t built with them in mind.
