    2021/06/14

Changes. There are over 35 modern/contemporary songs written about changes. This isn't a song, but instead another DiabetesDude Wordpress Blog entry about, guess what, Changes.

Change is good even if at the time we don't think it is. But in the end, it usually turns out for the better.  Please give a listen and hear how changes in my life made an impact on my diabetes management and overall life.

    2021/06/08

This week TR&L take a deep dive into what it means to be accountable to your health as a person with a chronic condition. Especially for People With Diabetes (PWD), accountability is the foundation for staying healthy or for becoming healthier. It is your responsibility to look after your body. Have a listen to learn exactly what that means for every step along the road map of good/better health. Having a chronic condition, like diabetes is a 24/7/365 chore that regardless how much you want to ignore it will only get worse if you turn your back on it!

Being healthy (or getting and staying healthy) is a life long challenge.  If you want your life to be LONG you have to CHOOSE to be on a healthy path.  Make small changes every day, then every week and before you know it you will have taken the healthy road towards living a healthier life.

Please join us on this episode to learn about accountability.

  • S02Ep18 - Good Health is not always Physical- 05.17.21
    2021/05/17

It's special guest time again.  We diverge from nutrition and healthy eating and shift our focus on National Mental Health Awareness month with Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Rudy Tafoya, Lead School Clinical Coordinator of the Behavioral Health Program on the Pueblo of San Felipe.

Covid has put everyone under a great deal of stress and has created anxiety in people who either weren't experiencing anxiety in the past or who were already dealing with it. Seeking someone to help you sort of the important things from those that aren't as  important and how to prioritize the list to help you tackle that list is a step in the right direction. Asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness.

Please give a listen to learn more how you can help yourself or perhaps a friend or family member feeling overwhelmed, by anything!
