Joining us at Audible Studios is Louise Doughty, an English fiction and non-fiction writer, a playwright and a journalist. Doughty studied for an MA in Creative Writing. As her writing for newspapers and radio began to garner more attention, she wrote and released her first novel, and hasn't stopped since then. One of her novels, Apple Tree Yard, was adapted into a BBC series under the same name.

The Mister tells the story of well-to-do (and well-off!) Maxim Trevelyan, who is living the high-life with good lucks, aristocratic connections, and no need to work. Things change when Maxim is charged with the responsibility of inheriting his family's wealth, estates and titles. It is not a role well suited to Maxim. In this interview, we spoke to E. L. James about setting The Mister in Albania, Fifty Shades going viral, and the music playlists that accompany her writing.

Whilst working as a social work administrator, Heather Morris studied and wrote screenplays. M R Carey, a renowned writer of brilliant comic books, novels and films, visits the Audible Studios to talk about his latest novel, The Boy on the Bridge - a stand-alone story set in the same world as his best seller The Girl with All the Gifts. His latest title, The Stone Song, ventures into a brand-new genre for him. Kerry Dayes has worked in maximum security prisons and secure hospitals, working alongside some of the most complex and challenging criminals and victims of crime.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his narration of the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist is Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce. Dickens' second published novel, Oliver Twist, has been adapted numerous times. Following orphan Oliver from the workhouse to the streets of London, he meets a pickpocket known as the Artful Dodger, who offers him shelter. There we meet Fagin, Nancy and Bill Sikes. Oliver’s innocence is tested as he witnesses the darker side of London.

After studying Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, Stacey worked as an assistant editor at We Love This Book magazine and a media editor at the Bookseller magazine, as well as writing for Psychologies, The Independent, and Fabulous magazine, where she is now Deputy Chief Sub-Editor. Alongside editorial work, Stacey has written her first novel, an exciting historical fiction set within the drama of the 1612 Pendle witch trials.

An established actress across stage, screen and radio, Celia Imrie is most well known for her collaborations with Victoria Wood, including the spoof Acorn Antiques. With notable film appearances including Bridget Jones’s Diary, Calendar Girls and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Imrie has now narrated and published her latest audiobook, Sail Away. Celia Imrie talks to us about her new book, what we can expect from it and her successful and varied career as an actress.
