Joining us at Audible Studios is critically acclaimed author and social historian Hallie Rubenhold. We spoke about her new book, The Five, which tells the story of Jack the Ripper’s victims, revealing their interesting and varied true lives and their stories, which have been lost due to misogyny and tabloid press. We also spoke about her love of history, her research and her plans for the future.

Joining us at Audible Studios is actor Colin Morgan. Morgan has been appearing on stage and television since 2007, performing at The Globe Theatre and The National Theatre and starring in programmes such as Merlin, Doctor Who, Humans and The Fall. Named one of Time magazine’s most influential people in the world, Jeff Kinney has now published the 13th book in the series, The Meltdown.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss her tell-all memoir, Brutally Honest, is Spice Girl and TV presenter Melanie Brown. Beyond being a Spice Girl, Mel B is now also an advocate for women across the world who suffer from domestic violence. Melanie’s memoir is a compelling, frank and inspirational story of a woman who has lived through many challenges but refuses to be shamed any more. In this interview, Mel spoke to us about revisiting painful memories in writing her memoir, the process of casting the audiobook and the feedback she's got already from her nearest and dearest.

She is the author of five novels and five non-fiction books, and has worked as a teacher and freelance journalist for 25 years. In 1989 she moved to Botswana where she worked for the country's first tabloid newspaper, The Voice, and later as editor of the Okavango Observer. She received a Journalist of the Year award.

M R Carey, a renowned writer of brilliant comic books, novels and films, visits the Audible Studios to talk about his latest novel, The Boy on the Bridge - a stand-alone story set in the same world as his best seller The Girl with All the Gifts. Joining us at Audible Studios is Damian Barr, British writer, columnist and playwright, who released his novel, You Will Be Safe Here, in 2019. Barr was born in Scotland and attended Lancaster University. Barr's first article ran in The Guardian in 1996, and since then he has written for titles such as The Sunday Times and Big Issue. Barr's first book was published in 2006 and was the first book to focus on the quarter-life crisis in the UK, titled Get It Together: How to Survive Your Quarterlife Crisis.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Tom Bale (the pseudonym of David Harrison), author of titles such as One Dark Night and Skin and Bones. His latest title, The Stone Song, ventures into a brand-new genre for him. Harrison, born near Brighton, has worked in retail, in a factory, as a claims handler for an insurance company and as a househusband, but his ultimate goal throughout life was to become an author. We spoke to David Harrison about The Stone Song, his determination to become a writer and his life as an author.

Lupton studied literature at Cambridge University, graduating in 1986. After graduating, she wrote for Literary Reviews and was invited to join the Royal Court Theatre. During this time, Lupton won a television play competition and earned herself a job as a screenwriter. While her husband, a doctor, was working all hours, Lupton decided that as an author she could write around her kids being at school. So, after much work, her first novel, Sister, was published. We chatted to Rosamund Lupton about her career as a writer and author and how she creates such thrilling reads.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Heather Morris, an author whose debut novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, was a huge success. Morris grew up in New Zealand and has split her adult life between there and Australia. Morris worked in the Social Work Department at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne from 1995-2017. During this time, Morris decided to pursue her love of storytelling and enrolled in a professional scriptwriting course. In 2003, her life and career path changed. She was introduced to Lale Sokolov, upon whose story she based The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Louise Doughty, an English fiction and non-fiction writer, a playwright and a journalist. Doughty studied for an MA in Creative Writing. As her writing for newspapers and radio began to garner more attention, she wrote and released her first novel, and hasn't stopped since then. One of her novels, Apple Tree Yard, was adapted into a BBC series under the same name.

The Mister tells the story of well-to-do (and well-off!) Maxim Trevelyan, who is living the high-life with good lucks, aristocratic connections, and no need to work.
