In these delightful and playful talks, Osho introduces the mystery, the wonder and the emptiness that is Zen, not comparable to anything else and a completely different approach to life. The chapters alternate between elaborating original excerpts by the 14th Zen master, Ikkyu, taking us into the world of Zen – and responding to personal questions, which brings the world of Zen into our lives, connects with our issues and questions.

In this talk Osho takes his audience into the world of Zen. "There are a few essential things which make Zen absolutely different from any kind of teaching. The most important of these essentials is that Zen is a revolution. All other religions are servants to the vested interests. The rich people and the powerful people, the politicians, have dominated all the religions. The priests have been nothing but servants to these criminals. It is such a worldwide conspiracy that no one recognizes it."

Osho responds here to a question relating to meditation, a space of "no-mind": "...meditation covers a very long pilgrimage. When I say 'meditation is witnessing', it is the beginning of meditation. And when I say 'meditation is no-mind', it is the completion of the pilgrimage. Witnessing is the beginning, and no-mind is the fulfillment. Witnessing is the method to reach the no-mind. Naturally you will feel witnessing is easier. It is close to you. But witnessing is only like seeds, and then is the long waiting period."

In these talks, Osho introduces his audience to Zen, with its emphasis on being alert and attentive to the simplest acts of ordinary life as a way to experience meditation. Zen stories serve as starting points for several talks in the series, illuminating the nature of that rare human capacity to transcend the limits of the rational mind.

Responding to a question about why there are not many women comediennes or jokes which do not have a male chauvinistic ring to them, Osho dives into the context and history of women in societies and the sense of humor coming into existence at a late stage of evolution. Born with a Question Mark in Your Heart continues the Authentic Living series by Osho with talks by the contemporary mystic during his stay in the United States. Osho says: "It is fortunate that man is born with a question mark, otherwise he would be just another species of animal."

In the past, science and meditation were considered poles apart, if not adversarial. In this talk, Osho shows science and meditation as complimentary, one the science of the outer, the other the science of the inner. For example he explains the esoteric science of rebirth using analogies of general science opening our minds to the possibilities of what is and what can be. Einstein meets Buddha in a love fest!
