  • "Embrace the New Year with Hope, Trust, and Obedience" - Your Weekly Calling
    2025/01/06

In this episode of Your Weekly Calling, Brad invites listeners to embrace the new year with a fresh perspective, focused on hope, trust, and obedience. As we reflect on the past and look forward to the future, he draws powerful insights from Isaiah 43, encouraging everyone to leave behind old patterns and expectations, and be open to the new things God is doing in their lives.

Brad emphasizes the importance of not dwelling on past disappointments or struggles. God is always doing something new, and our focus should shift from former things to the new opportunities He’s presenting to us. Hope, he reminds us, is essential for moving forward, even after setbacks. Trusting in God’s perfect timing—especially when it doesn’t align with our own—is a key aspect of this journey.

He also highlights the role of obedience, calling listeners to stay connected to God through prayer and scripture. This ongoing relationship helps us set spiritual goals that deepen our faith and bring us closer to God. Letting go of past baggage, Brad suggests, is a necessary step for personal growth and spiritual renewal.

The episode closes with Brad encouraging listeners to ask God daily about the new work He is doing in their lives. Making space for God in our hearts and routines is vital to recognizing His movement. And, lastly, Brad reminds us that community plays an essential role in our spiritual journey. Sharing experiences and supporting one another helps strengthen our collective faith.

Takeaway: As you step into the new year, let go of the past, trust God's timing, stay obedient in your relationship with Him, and set spiritual goals to grow closer to Him. Be open to the new things He’s doing in your life—and don’t forget to share the journey with your community.
