Off the top, they get into the mid-season trades of Anunoby and and Siakam during the 2023-24 season, why by the time those deals were made, there was no salvaging the team build around them, and why the returns in the deals hold up as pretty solid, if imperfect. Next, they take a look back at the Jakob Poeltl trade in 2023, and the summer of action that preceded it in 2022 that really was the point at which the core became doomed to fail. Lastly, they examine the impact that drafting Scottie Barnes had on the team's trajectory, and why him falling into the team's laps after the Tampa Tank season may have set the entire course of actions that led us to where we are today.
