Aware of Being Unaware! Today’s ‘Hour of Power’ is about considering the question, “What are you missing?” We are UNCONSCIOUS creatures. The highest level of learning is UNCONSCIOUS COMPETENCE, and the lowest level of learning is UNCONSCIOUS INCOMPETENCE. It is posited that we only use 3-5% of our brain Consciously. I hear all kinds of flak on this statement, but what I usually hear it as, is that we only use 10% of our brain. I said, “CONSCIOUSLY”. We are programmed creatures. We have a CONSCIOUS mind\brain, and an UNCONSCIOUS mind\brain. We breathe without thinking about it, but if we think about it, we can change our breathing- but it works without Conscious thought or attention. We drove home after work, without realizing how we drove home. Yet, we stopped at all the stops, we turned at all the turns and we wind up at home realizing- “I don’t remember driving home”. That is also what can happen in life, we get to the end, to a trauma and a drama and then we wonder, “WHAT HAPPENED?”. What a litany of statements. These are all CAUSE-and-EFFECT statements, natural laws- the WAY THINGS WORK: IF ‘A’ THEN ‘B’. If you put your hand into fire, you WILL GET BURNED. God has always forewarned us, He wants to make sure that people know that CHOICES have CONSEQUENCES and God wants none to perish. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Pet 3:9) God has a plan and He has YOUR PLAN. He promises us, HE HAS THIS, we just need to have FAITH. Faith has consequences, it allows us to be all that God has intended for us to be! “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) Believing God’s WORD is called Faith! Without Faith it is impossible to please God. The Consequences of FAITH, pays huge dividends in the Kingdom of God and allows us to be used for God’s purpose NOW!

While in Prison for those 4 days Mr. Black got to be a part of a process that helps those behind prison walls to emerge into a better space: Mentally, Spiritually and Hopefully. On Todays Hour of Power, Mr. Black will talk about how we get into the mental space where our lives take turns to bring us to a PRISON. Millions are in prisons around the country- physical structures that confine their movement and remove their choices. Many millions more are free of physical walls, but incarcerated by Emotional, Psychological and Spiritual prisons of their own doing. Today Mr. Black will share the power of struggle and the consequences of our choices. It is said, ‘Two men sit behind bars. One sees mud, the other sees stars”. Perspective becomes reality. A broken heart becomes a shut-off heart. Poor thinking becomes hazardous, and poor self confidence becomes its own prison.
