 WWE's return to Riyadh for Night of Champions 2025 delivered a mix of unexpected outcomes and frustrating booking, leaving fans with a sense of both excitement and disappointment. While the event saw the elevation of new talent in rare singles showcases, the title matches were marred by overbooked finishes and excessive interference, contributing to a feeling of generic storytelling.In a night that saw two major tournaments conclude, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton in a well-received match to win the King of the Ring. Meanwhile, Jade Cargill continued her ascent by overcoming Asuka to be crowned the Queen of the Ring. Both wins earned the victors a future championship opportunity at SummerSlam.However, the championship matches were a different story. Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez's Riyadh Boulevard Street Fight was filled with plunder, including a spot where Ripley delivered a Riptide from the top of a commentary table. Karrion Kross faced Sami Zayn in a hard-hitting bout, while Jade Cargill's Queen of the Ring final victory cemented her as a major player in the women's division. Overall, Night of Champions 2025 was a card defined by its generic narratives and perplexing finishes, a forgettable night of wrestling saved only by a few standout performances.
