  • What You "Nah Gon Do!"
    2025/03/24

This dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to what you not gon' and do, and that is to allow others to play in your face, but most importantly, not allowing yourself to play in your face. And see what that looks like is you entertaining situations and things that don't serve you because if it doesn't serve you, it doesn't deserve you. What you not gon' do is continue doing the same thing, expecting a different result. What you not gon' to do is not pursue them dreams because we realize that time is so finite. What you not gon' do is stay in the same place, cause it's time to grow. It makes me think of this track entitled, "Nah GonDo" by the musical artist Ashh Blackwood and in it she says, "One thing we not gon' do is chase that thing that is not for you. Another thing we not gon' do is keep holding on when the thing is through. Like I said before don't break your back when you need to do what’s best for you. One thing you not gon' do is run yourself to the ground you fool." She continues on, "Yes sometimes I let me down just need to silence the sound. Finding my feet on the ground, one last thing let's fix my crown."

It's time for you to walk in your authority. Straighten your crown, dust it off and shine baby. It's your time to reign.

Alright, that's it for your dose of "Vitamin D," for more inspiration and motivation, be sure to follow @VitaminDDawnDai on all social media and until next time, always remember "you are your greatest asset!"

  • It's Time To Release
    2025/03/21

It's time to release. But in order to release, you're going to have to forgive yourself. See, I don't know what it is that you're holding on to; some sort of regret, maybe hatred, disdain for someone, the failed attempt at a relationship, a job experience. I don't know what it is, but it's time to let it go. Set it free. But most importantly, set yourself free. It makes me think of this track by Geminelle. It's entitled, I Forgive Myself & I Release. It's from a mantra album where she says it over and over again and there is this one line that sticks out. She says, "I release all the things that don't serve me now." See if it doesn't serve you, it doesn't deserve you. So why are you holding on to it? Greater is coming. In fact, greater is now. Don't be afraid to be great. Forgive yourself and release. It's time to let go.

  • You Deserve It All
    2025/03/19

You deserve it all, period. I said it. Are you willing to admit it? Because I can't understand why you playing small. I can't understand why you're not going after your dreams. I can't understand why you second guessing yourself. I can't understand why you are afraid to be authentically you. There's no better time than now to be in the present, to allow it to be a gift. So what are you waiting on? Is it because you don't know your worth? Is it because you don't think that you are worthy? I'm here to remind you that you deserve it all. In fact, it makes me think of this track by Kendrick Lamar entitled, "Men at the Garden."

Now I'm going to read this not in any particular order. Kendrick says, "Put my homes on the beach front, flying private, what you eat for lunch? I deserve it all. Like minds and less enemies, stock investments, more entities. I deserve it all. The respect and the accolades, lampin' on the island, watchin' Cast Away. I deserve it all. More money, more power, more freedom, everything Heaven allowed us. I deserve it all." Don't play with me, play with yourself.

Alright. That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Keep up with inspiration and motivation and follow at @VitaminDDawnDai on all social media, and until next time, always remember "you are your greatest asset!"

  • Wake Up Everybody!
    2025/03/18

Is it just me or does it seem as though every day you hearing about somebody has died? and it's not just older people, I'm talking about young people, too. Whether it be cancer, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, a freak accident. Nevertheless, they're not here anymore. So I got to ask you, what you waiting on? Life is so precious. Our time on earth is so finite.

You know, they say we're here for a good time, not a long time. So what are you doing to make it count? I think it's time for you to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for what happened in the past, because your past is behind you and you're not there anymore. Stop focusing on what you shoulda, coulda, would've done. How about we focus on what you're doing right now?

So I charge you to wake up. In fact, it makes me think about the track "Wake Up" by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. "Wake up, everybody. No more sleeping in bed. No more backward thinking, time for thinking ahead." I want you to stop looking at that rear view mirror and focus on that windshield. I want you to stop focusing on that door and look around to see how many windows you got. You're possible! I just need you to believe in yourself and "wake up!" Hello somebody, somebody hello?

  • Advice Letter: "Had To Put My Own Momma Out"
    2025/02/12

Subject: Had To Put My Own Momma Out

Dawn, hey I love listening to you.

Just recently, my momma came back into my life after abandoning me at six years old. That was 23 long years ago. My momma wasn't in my life like she should've been, you know. In and out of jail. Couldn't keep a job. On drugs. Laying up with different men. And just a never-ending mess of problems and bad choices...

Well, 4 months ago, she showed up on my doorstep, clean for the last 2 years, and wanted for us to be family again. Oh, there was so much anger, and hurt, and bitter disappointment in me. I'm talking years and years of tears and awful hurt here. But, I figured, this may be the only chance that I'll ever have to have my momma back. I didn't want to look back and wonder "what if". So, me and my husband, talked and we gave her a chance and took her in.

And, of course, 4 weeks later, my momma relapsed and she relapsed hard, Dawn.

It got so bad that I had to put my momma out and I told her to leave us alone and to never ever come back here. And I've been crying in my husband's arms nonstop ever since. Horribly sad for my momma and very, very, very angry at her at the same time, you know?

I tried. I really tried. But I can't keep letting her hurt me over and over again. Am I right?

    Sincerely Yours,

    Mrs. Eva Parker, Age: 29

    Riverside, California
