As many topics are personal for the Two Broads, in this episode they discuss body image. The illusive journey for the perfect body. Even though nobody really knows who is the judge on this arbitrary "image" of our anatomies we sure act like we do. In the meantime the quest for the perfect abs, breasts, biceps and hind sides may actually be the biggest waste of time ever. A frank discussion about an all too popular obsession. Honestly, the time has come for us to shift perspective to optimum health as a focus not purely the illusive image that few ever see anyway. Good health will go so much farther in the long run than brutal obsession over how we look. Tune in, we are salty.

The Two Broads were in extra rare form in this coffee table convo. There is a lot of social and cultural observation and criticism in this and truly one can only listen to see if you are able to list all of the bullet points, lol, Honestly though, it seems like we have over saturated our desires for entertainment, foods, escapism, sex, shopping and more to a point that pleasure could be an enemy. Where do you go when you've exhausted how entertained you can be?

Well, here we go; we are heading straight for the time of year that seems to bring with it the best and worst of times. The Two Broads bring their annual pre-season tips for getting into the right mindset for all of the festivities. Why? Because the stress level of so many is palpable starting around Thanksgiving and honestly, it reveals things about ourselves that could be wonderful indicators that need our attention that we may be ignoring; gaining more peace within everyday, not just around the Holidays.

These Two Broads really enjoyed our conversation with Matt who came out of the public school "system" and once a Father realized he must do something different for his children regarding learning. He began to build what he thought learning could look like and invited everyone he knew to join in, and they did. Now Apogee learning centers are spread throughout the country. It is a great episode on lifetime learning, parenting, not accepting the status quo, building outside of the box and more. Tune in and share this important cast.

The Two Broads were so pleased to have had Author Joseph (Jake) Klein on this episode where a very important topic was discussed. Klein's new book, Redefining Racism; How Racism Became Power + Prejudice, is a very well researched and important book bringing to light a very little known history of how anti racists movements have actually pushed culture backwards in the arena of inclusion and diversity. This book has been a six year journey and Jake shares some of his research pointing out that the way to real progress in anti racism must include being anti racist towards all. Perhaps it boils down to the truth that the real way to raise a bar is not by pushing others down but to raise the bar on oneself. Despite some short tech difficulties this is an episode to hear.

It is past time to think that it cannot be true that the industrial food complex isn't out for us. It is naive to think the FDA would never allow harmful toxins to be in our foods. Does not everyone not yet know? There are decades of disease riddled data to show us just how far off from real food the complex of food scientists have brought us, begging the question, do we even know what real food is anymore? The Broads get fired up over this topic and one of incredible importance.... Our children, our nation, is sick. Own your own health, nobody is in your corner regarding it.

Guest Brooke Lenhoff of the Entrepreneurship Center, Focus Suites joins the two broads for some foundational advise that often times gets overlooked when doing your own thing; the entrepreneur themselves. Understanding one's strengths is one such foundational building block that gets discussed today. Of course there are a lot of laughs too and some of the laughs come at the expense of this broad who damn near did die with her mic in her hand today..... unpredictable per usual, tune in! For the first time, the Two Broads had a repeat guest on the show. Stacy Dam of Set Your Sites, joined us again after only under three months due to all of the barriers and goals she has busted down. Goals she spoke of in her first visit and boom, they happened. If you missed Stacy's first cast discussing her, "see a need, fill a need" business idea and the weird accident she had that spurred her into action, please go listen to the Set Your Sites episode back in June. We were so excited to see this lady who is fast becoming the first in a business league all her own; a pretty big deal actually. We discuss keeping motivated and taking time to acknowledge, celebrate and sit in the milestones for a minute as the journey really is everything. Also, it seemed fitting to celebrate Stacy's win with our own milestone here at Two Broad Casters as this is our 100th episode we have recorded. It won't take you long into this cast (like immediately) to see how there is zero improvement in the tech department after 100 episodes as Lauri tries to enter the show with what she thought was a sound bite of celebration and clapping sounds and well.... epic fail.
