  • That's entertainment
    2024/12/18

That was a great weekend of T2 football with terrific goals and surprises.

Phil (Doc Holliday) Williams is traveling in the Wild West this week. In his absence Simon and I are joined as guest presenter by Clyde O'Connell from the wild rabbits of Chanthaburi FC. Clyde gives us an insider's view of last weekend's matches and the state of the league. A very entertaining listen.

Thanks as always to Simon and also to Clyde - you are welcome back anytime!

We will take next week off and come back again on 1 January. In the meantime have a very happy and safe Christmas holiday.

  • Tis the season to be jolly.....
    2024/12/11

    In the good news column....

Simon is back; Clyde O'Connell is well and has joined a dodgy looking boy band.

Amornthep has a stunning game for Bangkok FC and is man of the match in an away win at Kanchanaburi.

Jun Fukuda looking happier than the cat that got the cream.....the picture is from his facebook page.

Bangkok FC return home from the wilderness.

The transfer window opens and there are already some interesting moves.

    In the fingers crossed column.....

What next for Samut Prakan? And for Kasetsart?

    Who replaces the CMFC Brazilians?

  • We all love a good pantomime villain.....
    2024/12/04

Phrae get an early present; Chainat win at last; a big win for Kanchanaburi at Ayutthaya; start of BGC/MuangThai Cup for T3 teams - but not for all of them.

And what do Captain Hook, The Wicked Queen and Clyde O'Connell have in common?

    Thanks for listening!

  • The one where we welcome back the Maharaja of Samut Prakan...
    2024/11/28

Great to have Phil back on the podcast.....

    Late drama in T2 and T3;

    T3 leagues at halfway;

    Chang FA Cup last 32:

    Are NakhonSi back on track?

    What is happening at Chonburi?

T2 fixtures and predictions for the weekend

And thank you folks for listening!

Last season's beaten Chang FA Cup finalists were Kanchanaburi NOT Kasetsart. Apologies.

  • An FA Cup thriller in Kamphaengphet
    2024/11/21

The Chang FA Cup first round saw few shocks but there was drama!

Not that you can see highlights of most games as True and the Thai FA combined to stop clubs from broadcasting matches that were not covered by True.

Disappointingly, there were also no teams from Chiang Mai - should participation in the Thai FA Cup be compulsory for all teams in T1, T2 and T3?

The gap closed at the top of T3 North as MaeJo were held at home by Nakhon Sawan and CMFC won away at Chiang Rai United.

The Jeremy Zielinski highlights reel from his time in Thailand is here: https://youtu.be/_R16wkZnCCg?si=SP3QVm800rdIPRfo

Missing FA Cup score: Udonthani City 1 LOPBURI CITY 3.

Podcast update: rather late in the day but Lamphun Warriors have moved their Saturday match against PT Prachuap back to their own stadium after completing the work on their floodlights.

    Kick off is at 7.00pm.

  • Ayutthaya and Kasetsart march on while others stumble....
    2024/11/14

A fine win for Kasetsart at Phrae United - and an unexpected point for Chainat. Nakhon Si continue to struggle.

Four for CMFC at home to Mae Sot - can the club keep Felipe?

Songkhla go top in T3 South - is this their year at last.

  • Fireworks in Pattaya
    2024/11/05

With a nod to election day in the USA and bonfire night in the UK we (maybe just Rob) wonder(s) whether the Phrae bubble has burst.

Kasetsart beat Chonburi in front of a crowd of 1,800 - where were they the last few seasons?

Bangkok FC make it four wins in a row with a fine win at NakhonSi United.

In T3North Chiang Mai and MaeJo both win and Uttaradit drop 2 more points.

The first round of the Chang FC Cup is on 20 November - a quick look at some of the games - fixtures and start times are not yet on the Thai League web site.

Everything has been a bit of a rush today so I forgot to introduce Phil and Simon at the start of the podcast - it would be impossible to do this without them. Thank you.

  • If its Wednesday it must be Mae Sot....
    2024/11/01

    Phil, Simon and Rob discuss

The fall and rise of Samut Prakan City.

Rayong bid farewell to Carlos Perreira - which we don't really discuss as we ran out of time!

Tips of the hat to Roi-Et PB, Muang Trang and Chainat Hornbill for making the last 16 of the REVO League Cup

Uttaradit beaten for the first time this season in T3N

Chiang Mai United's late late equaliser

The joys of traveling to games - four games in six days this week.

And is Steeven Langil's goal for Kasetsart at CMU already the T2 goal of the season.

    And so much more!
