From humble beginnings in small town Nebraska, to one of the most successful and respected football coaches in Class A, Brett Froendt has done it with hard work. We talk about his background, how family sets the example, coaching and building a program, what it takes to reach the elite level, and what's next following his retirement from teaching and coaching.

In this episode, I talked with Creighton's head volleyball coach, Kirsten Bernthal Booth. We dug into her childhood and how she made a decision between playing tennis and volleyball at the collegiate level. She detailed a career which saw her go from high school assistant to D-I head coach in only a few short years. We also talked about her focus on mental preparedness and self-talk as it relates to athletes.

We talk about his journey to Lincoln, playing for Frank Solich at Nebraska, race and it's role in society, his professional career within and outside football, as well as his experience with mentorship.

We talked about his journey as an immigrant, living life as the child of a professional athlete, living the American Dream, and the challenges of running a professional team.
