  • Does She Fit The Bill?
    2023/04/19

There are already a handful of GOP hopefuls for President. What's interesting is you're not hearing much about those that may be the number two on a GOP ticket. And while it appears very early on as if Donald Trump will once again be the nominee, The Daily Caller thinks that they have the choice. I'm going to differ with them and say that probably isn't going to be who's number two when the dust settles. But I do have other options!

  • SCOTUS Ruling Doesn't Give Biden Free Reign On Student Loans
    2023/04/18

You may have heard the Supreme Court has issued a ruling that basically allows some $6 billion in student loan debt to be forgiven. Before you jump to conclusions, and start screaming at the conservatives on the high court, understand this isn't the case that involves Joe Biden wiping out student loan debt. This is yet another case, involving not really colleges, but more like businesses masquerading as colleges.

  • But What Does He Run On?
    2023/04/17

There aren't many people that are clamoring to be a nominee for president on the Democrat side of things for 2024. Oh, you've got that whack job, Marianne Williamson, who had what? Three people voting for her in 2020? And of course you've got crazy Joe Biden if he ever decides to run. And you've got Kamala Harris, who's chomping at the bit to become the first female president, even though nobody likes her. And Pete Buttigieg who can't even show up for his current position as Transportation Secretary. Then you've got Gavin Newsome. The guy looks like a movie star and runs the biggest state in the country. But what does he run on? What has he done that he can point to as a positive nationally?

  • A Really Good Argument For Age Restrictions
    2023/04/16

Yes, I'm a believer that when you're serving in Congress or the White House, or any other governmental position, you probably could very easily become too old to serve effectively. Diane Feinstein is currently facing that dilemma. She's been absent from the US Senate for about two months now because of a shingles infection that she's been taking care of. But it begs the question...how old is too old to serve?

  • Top Secret?
    2023/04/15

So a 21 year old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman by the name of Jack Teixeira got caught disclosing some rather damning "top secret" documents to buddies of his on the internet. And it's caused quite a stir in Washington, DC. Oh, not with our current president. He doesn't seem all that concerned with the data leak. But for the rest of DC, it's a big deal. Why? Because it was listed as "top secret". But just because it SAYS it's "top secret", does it really make it so?

  • Is China Ready To Take Taiwan?
    2023/04/13

Well, if you follow the news coming out of China at all, you would think so. And if you think that they are going to blame the US for holding three or four delegations with the Taiwanese in the past year or so, it would seem that it's our fault. Of course, Xi Jinping went to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin. He went to Saudi Arabia. He's been to Iran. He's been trotting around the globe lining up his allies. And the Chinese have been very patient to try and bring Taiwan back into the fold. Today, we look at the question, "Why now?"

  • Is The GOP Falling Prey?
    2023/04/12

Republicans took over the House of Representatives in January of this year. Since that time, what is that they really have done? Have they cured any of the problems that they were elected to fix? Or, have they consistently fallen prey to trying to undo things that the Democrats did when they were in charge of Congress? Look, if you want to get something done, great. I'm all for it. But if you are just going to hold meaningless hearings where nothing ends up happening in the end, we need to find a different way, and maybe a different group of folks to lead us.

  • Democrats Taking Issue With Abortion Pill Ruling
    2023/04/11

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is at it again. This time she's upset at a federal court judge who ruled that the FDA needs to top making an abortion pill because of the Supreme Court's decision last summer to overturn Roe v. Wade. Apparently, AOC doesn't think much of our system of justice. She believes that the Biden administration should just ignore any law that they don't agree with. That's an interesting take. And if it works for one side, it should have to work for the other as well, right?
