On today's episode I talk about an event that has been a long time coming, an Ironman 70.3 event in Waco, TX. Commonly called "The Middle Distance" a 70.3 is the total distance among a 1.2mi swim, 56mi bike, and a 13.1mi run.

I completed the event in 5:33:39 and was 25th in my age group. There is now no turning back from just seeing how far I can go in an arena I never thought I'd ever be in. Which is why I'm doubling down.

Nick Klingensmith was born and raised on Martha's Vineyard, and has had a storied career in sales with over 14 years primarily growing Blue Grace Logistics.

He joins the show to tell his story which includes being diagnosed with cancer 4 times, developing type 1 diabetes, and being an alcoholic. Through it all he has emerged to run in over 100 Spartan Races, 6 marathons, some Ultramarathons, and a score of other events.

Nick is the author of two books titled "Through the Fire" and his second book which came out in 2024 called "Selling Inspired" which can be purchased on Amazon.
