  • When Health Problems Connect with Identity
    2023/03/20

    Sometimes whatever health issues you may be dealing with can intertwine themselves with your identity and belief around what is or isn't possible for you!  This is something I (Kate) have definitely experienced myself.  For a few years, I held myself back from reaching for things that I'd wanted in the past, because I thought that MS was a limiting factor holding me back.

     

    I'd just accepted that because I had this illness, I had no other options than the struggle I'd felt when energy dipped, when my brain let me down with thinking clearly, etc.

     

    BUT Amanda brings up a great point in this episode that can make a really big difference  for people!  What if things could be better?  What if you could open your mind even a little to looking for little things you could do that might help you get even a little bit healthier?

     

    In my experience, both personally AND helping clients, this can be a turning point moment to realize that there are things you can do for yourself!  Many people are in the place I was in waiting for someone else to show up and fix things for you, but you have way more personal power to help yourself than you may realize.

  • Talking Toxins

    We are bombarded with toxins from many different sources all of the time in every day life.  In this episode, we're talking all about how toxins can get in the way of your ability to live your healthiest life. 

     

    Your body has a built in detoxification system, but when the toxins become too much, the body can become overwhelmed and needs help!

     

    While it's not realistic to try to remove all of the toxic burden on the body, it can be really helpful to have more awareness of the different exposures you may have and work to take small steps to reduce them.
