    In this episode of The Ink Table, Illumineers Preston and Dylan discuss the news shared in the most notable update broadcast from the Lorcana team. Not only do we have a confirmed date for the Lorcana World Championship at Disney World, but it will be closed to the public. Dylan and Preston begin navigating through the news shared as it relates to Reign of Jafar, Lorcana's 9th set coming May 30th. The promo cards and Jafar Set Championship cards are revealed, while analyzing the card abilities, we are also joined by some new critters along the way.


    Set rotations are coming to Disney Lorcana with the release of the 9th set, Fabled. The team explores the specifics around this set rotation and why they happen in nearly all TCGs. Fabled also contains some fun changes to card rarities, including the addition of two new rarities, Epic and Iconic, which are destined to be a great addition to any collection. New franchises are coming to the world of Lorcana, including the Goofy movie. Lorcana's 10th set is revealed, Whisper in the Well, which introduced Gargoyles and Black Cauldron to Lorcana.


    Lastly, we discuss some discoveries around new card tags, the Palace Heist co-op game coming in Reign of Jafar, and the lore around this set with the continuation of lore cards in Lorcana's 8th set. (edited)

    In this episode of The Ink Table podcast, we discussed Lorcana's FIRST ever card bans since the game was released in 2022. Hiram Flavorsham - Toymaker and Fortisphere have been banned from Core Constructed formats. What is the reasoning behind these bans? Dylan and Preston explore Ravensburger's reasoning including some highlights from a Q&A and open letter with Steve Warner, co-design lead of Disney Lorcana. Also discussed are impacts the bans have to other decks and strategies in the game.


    Later in the episode, Dylan discusses a deck that he and Rebekah discussed in the last episode, support decks. In some other updates, the team discuss the new documentary "Not Just a Goof", D23 celebrations and theater screenings of A Goofy Movie, updates to the D23 promotional Iago (spoiler, where is it at?!) and the D23 raffle for the D23 Convention Promo cards.     On this episode of The Ink Table, we are joined by legendary Illumineer, Rebekah Quests! She joins Preston and Dylan as they discuss their current spotlight cards currently in Archazia's Island. The three begin a discussion about the overall community of Lorcana, including Rebekah's journey as an Instagram community leader for Lorcana amassing thousands of followers, to eventually working with Ravensburger as a member of the casting team for Disney Lorcana Challenge events!


    Rebekah shared her experience being a female Illumineer playing at local events, and shares with Preston, Dylan and the greater Lorcana community how we can create a welcoming environment for more female representation in the game, and players of all demographics! Before ending the show with blind ranking custom Lorcana cards, Rebekah and Dylan discuss their experiences being Lorcana parents, with children playing the game.

The dual with Jafar is upcoming, and the latest news, including product reveals of Lorcana's next set, Reign of Jafar, is showcased. Dylan and Preston will discuss spotlight cards and notable cards from their pulls this weekend, while also talking about their MVP cards from sealed.     In this final episode before the release of Disney Lorcana's 7th set, Archazia's Island, Dylan and Preston explore cards that have been revealed thus far. Primarily the ones that stand out as a potential to be a "staple" in many decks, as well as one-off cards that'll be fun spice to play in select decks or even sealed events. Dylan and Preston discuss the WILD Donald Duck card that changes the amount of lore to WIN a game of Lorcana, as well as the introduction of major "puppy" cards that allow for inkwell manipulation? Disney trivia is played where Preston ends his losing streak, and wrapping up enchanted card speculations. This and more in this final episode before we set foot on Owl Island.

    In this "emergency" episode, Preston and Dylan discuss the latest news from Lorcana, including the reveal of Archazia's Island products and DUAL INK CARDS coming in the next set. Who is Archazia? What lore do we have behind this creature and island? How will they prepare us to defeat Jafar? All these questions are explored. Also discussed in this episode are the changes to organized play with the announcement of Ravensburger Play Hub, which will incentivize weekly organized play. Set Championship prizing is changing with only ONE playmat available for the winner, top 8 receiving enchanted promo cards, and 40 standard non-foil promo cards to those who preregister. Lastly, Lorcana 9th set has been revealed, "Fabled", which has a lot of mysteries.
