The inner sanctuary was considered the most sacred place as we discover in 1 Kings 6 which describes the opulence, beauty and excellence of the first temple, built by King Solomon and designed by the Lord. Similarly the Lord is the Master Architect of our lives and we are called to honor Him with our bodies. We go further to examine specific areas such as sexual sin, and immorality, gluttony, lust of the flesh and the like. As we prepare for 2025, and beyond, let's take the the to unearth and unpack these areas that require our attention and the healing power of the Lord!!

In episode 2, we explore the theme of (un)forgiveness. This narrative is a cornerstone for women and men alike, seeking redemption, solace and strength in the Lord as we navigate life's complexities.

We meet Jesus at Simon the Pharisee’s house for a meal, when an unnamed woman (in this account) enters the scene. This woman not only anoints the Lord with a jar of expensive perfume oil, but she also receives His forgiveness as she is considered an immoral woman in the community. Through this story, we are reminded that no matter our shortcomings, failures or past sins, there is forgiveness at the feet of the Master, when we submit with our whole heart. It is our hope that this episode will become the catalyst that invites you to the place of forgiveness, releasing past hurts and people who wronged you, and asking the Lord to work on those parts of your heart that need to be filled with His love. Because only His love can heal. And He is longing to meet you where you are!

This week's challenge/CTA: I challenge you to write a letter/journal entry to yourself, someone who caused you hurt or even to the Lord. This can be both therapeutic and restorative on your healing journey. Maybe you will find that you may want to write more than one letter, and that’s ok! Most of all, as you write, invite the Lord to sit with you. And allow Him to navigate the rest. You are loved!

Through this encounter, we are reminded that no matter the weight of our past, Jesus meets us with grace and offers us a path to wholeness. This discussion emphasizes the importance of recognizing our need for healing and the intentional steps required in our individual spiritual journeys. By embracing vulnerability, acknowledging the hurt and dedicating time to prayer, we align ourselves with God's everlasting intention of restoration and love.
