And thou shalt take no gifts, for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

    Exodus 23: 8 (KJV)

Within the Kingdom of Heaven, we must be aware of people’s motives to sway our actions to align with their intent.

Our heart must be for the King at all times.

We must not allow gifts and bribes to influence our behavior and our opinion of others.

People use flattery, friendship, and numerous other tactics to change our perception and influence our behavior.

Understanding and acknowledging the influence these actions have on us is of paramount importance if we are to maintain our righteous nature.

The world is looking for a people who are not dissuaded from their stance by such tactics.

Our integrity and witness are pivoting on the degree of resistance to these influences.

We cannot let such things blind us from our purpose and mission.
