    If movies is your thing, you are in the right place and that place is The Chronicle Film Podcast. In Episode 45 Paul and Clotilde review Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning along with The Phoenician Scheme.

    Up first if you accept the mission is Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. Is this the end of the road for Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise)and the IMF? In the 8th and potentially film film of the franchise Ethan and the team go after The Entity. The world is charging, truth is vanishing and war is coming as the entity starts to take control and destroy humanity. The team must go after first Gabriel (Esai Morales), will you trust Ethan one last time?

    For the final review, we step back into the absurdly quirky world of Wes Anderson and The Phoenician Scheme. This time with a crime comedy with a story inspired by something personal to the director. Benicio Del Toro is Zsa Zsa Korda. one of the richest men in Europe, and the film tells the story of “a family and a family business. There has been 6 assassination attempts on Korda and despite having 9 sons, Zsa-Zsa appoints his only daughter Liesl (Mia Threapleton), a nun heir to estate. A new scheme starts with Zsa-Zsa and Liesl embarking on a journey making them targets of terrorists, other tycoons.

  • Warfare and Sinners

    It's time for another fine episode of The Chronicle with Episode 44, our official Podcast. In this episode Clotile and Paul review Warfare along with Sinners.

    Up first is Ray Mendoza's Warfare co-directed with Alex Garland. Mendoza is an ex US Marine and has the last 20 years been an war consultant for Hollywood. This is where Garland comes in as the pair worked on Civil War, now working together on something based on 'memories'. Set in 2006 a group of Marines in Iraq on a mission and find themselves under attack from local insurgents. The film stars Charles Melton, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor, Noah Centineo, Michael Gandolfini, Finn Bennett and Will Poulter.

    Final review is Ryan Coogler's Sinners starring Michael B.Jordan, Miles Caton, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, and Delroy Lindo. The film is all about the troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Michael B. Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. This is wooing critics and fans alike will it for you?

  • Death Of A Unicorn / Four Mothers

    Your next doze of all things movie chat, better known as The Chronicle is here! In episode 43 of The Peoples Movies official film Podcast, Clotilde and Paul review Death Of A Unicorn and Four Mothers.

    First up is a horror comedy hybrid Death of A Unicorn starring Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd. Coming from A24/ EFD Films which see a father daughter driving to a remote home. When the pair argue as they drive they hit what they thought is a horse, it's an Unicorn! Unsure what to do they put the body in the back of the car head to the home of the Pharmaceutical tycoon Odell Leopold. They quickly learn it has magical powers of healing, the unicorn also has some angry parents!

    In the second and final review Four Mothers, James McArdle is Edward a talent author on the verge of success. He looks after his mother, Alma (Fionnula Flanagan) and when he's on the verge of heading to the U.S to promote his book. His so called friends decide they want a holiday and leave their mothers with Edward. Pushing him to make some important choices in life as the elderly mothers cause havoc.
