• The Pool a.k.a. Swimming Pool (2001)
    2025/05/26

The Blind Rage Podcast is making a splash with THE POOL a.k.a. SWIMMING POOL (2001), the rarely-seen slasher that dared to ask, “What if we trapped a bunch of rich, horny European teens in an Olympic-sized swimming pool and let a masked psycho go to town?” Oh, and did we mention a baby-faced James McAvoy is here to steal scenes (and maybe your heart)? Graduation should be a time for celebration, but for this group of private school brats, it’s more of a bloodbath. Someone in a weird mask has a serious grudge, and they’re taking their rage out with a variety of sharp objects. The body count rises, the plot makes… choices, and we question the decision to let this much chlorine mix with this much bad behavior.

  • Jigsaw (2002)
    2025/05/19

Sharpen your puzzle skills and grab your art supplies, because this week on THE BLIND RAGE PODCAST, we’re tackling JIGSAW (2002)—no, not that one. This isn’t some sadistic game of survival with creepy dolls on tricycles. This is an ultra-low-budget slasher about an art class that bites off way more than it can chew when they’re tasked with assembling a “jigsaw man” for their final project. Bad idea? Absolutely. But it gets worse. Once Frankenstein’s discount cousin is complete, he decides to get creative…with murder. Heads roll (literally), the body count rises, and the acting is as questionable as the script, but does JIGSAW deserve a spot in the horror junkyard, or is it a weird little gem worth piecing together? We’re diving in with our usual dose of blood, sarcasm, and dark humor to find out.

  • Serial Slayer a.k.a. Claustrophobia (2003)
    2025/05/12

This week, we’re taking aim at SERIAL SLAYER (a.k.a. CLAUSTROPHOBIA, 2003), a tense little thriller that proves broad daylight won’t save you when there’s a crossbow-wielding psycho perched on the roof. Three coworkers—Melanie Lynskey (before she was cool on YELLOWJACKETS), Sheeri Rappaport (CSI), and Mary Lynn Rajskub (24)—find themselves trapped in a house while a silent, unseen killer picks them off one by one. No phones, no way out, and no idea who’s next. Horror fans, take note: Judith O’Dea (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD) makes a cameo! Because if anyone knows how to handle relentless terror, it’s her. Is this indie thriller a forgotten gem or just another early 2000s curiosity? Tune in as we break it down, discuss the kills, and decide if crossbows should be banned from horror movies forever.

  • The Coroner (1999)
    2025/05/05

Some coroners determine cause of death. This one just causes it. Ever wondered what happens when your friendly neighborhood coroner decides to moonlight as a serial killer? Well, wonder no more! THE CORONER (1999) follows defense attorney Emma (Jane Longenecker), who wakes up strapped to a table in the basement of the world’s creepiest medical examiner (Dean St. Louis). Instead of filing paperwork, he spends his free time filleting unwilling guests. But Emma isn’t going down without a fight—especially not at the hands of a man who treats human dissection like a fine art. This week on The Blind Rage Podcast, we slice open this late-’90s direct-to-video trainwreck, complete with baffling romantic subplots, a lead detective who might be the worst cop in cinematic history, and a villain who somehow makes funeral home directors look sexy by comparison. Is THE CORONER a criminally underrated horror flick, or should it be sentenced to life in the bargain bin? Only one way to find out.

  • Slumber Party Massacre II (1987)
    2025/04/28

Who’s ready to rock…and die? This week on The Blind Rage Podcast, we’re cranking up the volume and the body count with SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE II, the 1987 fever dream that asks, What if Freddy Krueger fronted a rockabilly band…and had a drill guitar? Courtney (Crystal Bernard) just wants a fun weekend with the girls, but her nightmares about a leather-clad psycho with an axe to grind (and a drill to kill) are about to get way too real. Featuring musical numbers, exploding zits, and enough power tool carnage to make Bob Vila sweat, this one’s a must-listen!

  • The Ripper (1985)
    2025/04/21

It’s Tony’s birthday and we’re celebrating with THE RIPPER, a movie Tom Savini would give just about anything to forget. What does Jack the Ripper have to do with birthdays? Well, nothing. Seems like there are so few horror movies focused on celebrating one’s special day and we were sure as hell not taking the endurance test that is getting through all 110 minutes of HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Instead, we’ve decided to watch London’s most famous serial killer slice and dice his way through…Tulsa, Oklahoma. Don’t ask.

  • The Stepfather (1987)
    2025/04/14

“Wait a minute… Who am I here?” THE STEPFATHER tells the story of a madman in search of the perfect all-American family. When they disappoint him, he brutally murders them and moves on to the next. Terry O’Quinn gives a fantastic performance in the titular role and, as always, it’s a pleasure to see Jill Schoelen, this time playing the role of a troubled teenager, who suspects something simply isn’t right the moment her new stepfather enters the family home.

  • Witchcraft (1988)
    2025/04/07

Last week was an in-your-face rip-off of CARRIE. This week, it’s an in-your-face rip-off of ROSEMARY’S BABY. WITCHCRAFT, the 1988 quickie that spawned a whopping 15 sequels (!), tells the story of a new mother, who moves into a creepy old estate owned by her husband’s family. Soon after settling in with their newborn son, our heroin begins to notice something doesn’t seem right—not with her in-laws, not with their mute butler, and not with the centuries-old place they call home. Is she simply paranoid, or are there truly dark forces at play? I think the answer is pretty damn obvious.
