  • Is Matt Milano Playoff Ready & Other Bills Musings
    2025/01/01
Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation for plenty of Buffalo Bills and NFL talk on the final episode of Talking Buffalo for 2024. The Bills are locked into the second seed in the AFC after smashing the Jets last Sunday and will surely be resting most of their starters in Sunday's finale at Foxboro on Sunday. Of course, the Patriots are currently locked into to the first pick of the 2025 NFL draft so their incentive to win may not be the greatest either. Still, there's plenty of worthy talking points surrounding Buffalo and how this week gets handled and beyond. Among them discussed is linebacker Matt Milano, who Patrick think played far and away the best of his four games against New York last week. Matt Warren has thoughts on if the version we saw on Sunday is good enough to feel confident in starting over Dorian Williams in the wildcard round when the playoffs begin. Both also have thoughts on how much if at all Milano should play against the Patriots--weighing one final tune up against the chance of getting hurt again. The guys also hit on Von Miller playing very well last week, Mack Hollins continuing to be a great addition to the team, potential concern about Damar Hamlin's prolonged absence and if they're getting Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson for MVP debate fatigue. That plus projecting what Bills will make the Pro Bowl, some of their favorite 2024 NFL storylines around the league and much more. Hope everyone listening has a blessed 2025! • Buffalo Bills Biggest Week 17 Takeaways
    2024/12/31
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is breaking down his biggest Buffalo Bills Week 17 takeaways after watching the film and sifting over PFF grades of their dominant performance over the New York Jets, an effort made easier by an opponent who looked disinterested if not completely checked out. Not to take away credit for Buffalo, but seeing in real time and especially after film review, the Jets were without a question the path of least resistance for the Bills to lock up the two seed in the AFC. Patrick spends a few minutes going over a few specific plays and moments where it was obvious the Jets had mailed this game in along with their season and why it's such an unserious organization. Also, Aaron Rodgers played like garbage, even when he had time to throw the ball and Patrick documents a few instances of that as well. As for the Bills, it was a well rounded game in all three aspects of the team. Patrick talks about Josh Allen maintaining the level of excellence he has almost the entire season without needing to get into any specific MVP talk today. Specifically discussed is him eluding several would-be sacks and having trust in his wide receivers Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman to make plays. The defense was pretty good as well and Patrick talks about being most encouraged by a pair of veterans who'll absolutely need to play well if they want to make a playoff run---Von Miller and Matt MIlano. That plus the unsung heroes on a few of Buffalo's biggest plays, a couple things about the game he didn't like including one that may be an unpopular opinion and much more. Happy New Year! • Bills Stomp Disgraceful Jets (Live Reactions)
    2024/12/30
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens for tons of live reaction shortly following the conclusion of the Buffalo Bills absolutely embarrassing the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium, 40-14 to lock down the two seed going into the playoffs. The Bills went undefeated at home during the regular season for only the third time in franchise history and first since 1990, the first year the Bills went to the Super Bowl. The guys talk about a winning effort from Buffalo in every phrase of the game, including Josh Allen making what's almost certainly one final case to capture the league's MVP award. They also discuss several players that had big impacts on the game for Buffalo--ranging from Greg Rousseau to Ed Oliver, Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman. Also Matt Milano had a few big plays in his fourth start of the season, did he do enough to gain confidence in him starting over Dorian Williams going into the playoffs? As far as the Jets, they looked like a team that quit once the game started to get away from them, in particular Aaron Rodgers, who Patrick goes as far to call disinterested. That and plenty more.
