Welcome to The Hicks Files: Stories That Teach—a podcast where truth speaks through stories, and stories shape our culture.

I’m Jeffrey T. Hicks, and I invite you to join me on a journey through time, culture, and memory. From the windswept trails of the American West to ancient villages across the globe, we explore tales that do more than entertain—they carry meaning, mold character, and offer guiding principles for how to live.

Each episode uncovers legends, life stories, and true accounts—some long forgotten, others newly told—all chosen for the timeless lessons they offer. These are stories with roots deep in human experience and branches that reach every listener, no matter where they are.

So pull up a chair, lend an ear, and let’s explore the stories that teach us how to be wiser, braver, and more grounded than we were yesterday.

Because in a world full of noise, the stories that last… are the ones that teach.
