In this episode, I’ve pulled together some of the most hard-hitting moments from conversations with true builders—people who didn’t wait around for perfect conditions, they made things happen. You’ll hear from Andy Frisella, Jesse Itzler, Tom Patterson, Codie Sanchez, Bedros Keuilian, Barbara Corcoran, and Gunnar Peterson. Every one of them started from scratch. No shortcuts, no handouts—just a relentless commitment to making their vision real. Andy kicks it off with his straight-up truth: no one's coming to save you. Jesse Itzler jumps in with what it really means to create moments that matter—personally and professionally. Tom Patterson walks us through betting on yourself when nobody else does, sharing how he turned rejection into drive and built Tommy John from zero. Codie Sanchez gets tactical about ownership, explaining why buying boring businesses might just be the smartest path to financial freedom. Then Bedros Keuilian talks about how trauma can either chain you down or become your greatest weapon. Barbara Corcoran breaks down the power of rejection and what it takes to stand out in the face of doubt. And Gunnar Peterson reminds us that how we train our minds and bodies sets the standard for everything else in life. Each of these guests shares real lessons from the trenches—what it actually looks like to do the work, to fail, and to rise anyway. This isn’t about inspiration. It’s about responsibility. These voices are proof that you don’t need a perfect plan. You need a decision. You need action. You need hunger. And you need the mindset that says, “Why not me?” This mashup is a call to all the underdogs, builders, creators, and fighters who are ready to stop watching from the sidelines. If you’re serious about becoming the person capable of achieving the dream—you’ll get everything you need right here. Key Takeaways from This Episode - Andy Frisella on building 1st Phorm and setting an unbreakable standard - Jesse Itzler on creating meaningful life chapters through bold decisions - Tom Patterson’s journey from rejection to retail disruptor - Codie Sanchez’s approach to buying cash-flowing businesses most overlook - Bedros Keuilian on rewriting your identity through pain and discipline - Barbara Corcoran’s mindset on turning “no” into next-level growth - Gunnar Peterson’s insight on how physical discipline fuels success everywhere Success doesn’t respond to your excuses—it responds to your execution. This is your moment to stop playing small and start building what you were born to create. • How Brainwashing Keeps You in a Life You Don’t Want
    2025/06/12
Are You Thinking Your Own Thoughts… Or Someone Else’s? Let me ask you something—have you ever stopped to wonder if the thoughts you’re thinking are actually yours? In this conversation, I sat down with Rebecca Lemov, a Harvard professor and author of The Instability of Truth, and what unfolded was a real eye-opener. We didn’t just scratch the surface—we went into the guts of how we get conditioned to believe things about the world… and about ourselves… without even realizing it. Rebecca laid out something that really hit me: brainwashing doesn’t start with someone else taking control of your mind—it begins when you stop asking questions. That moment when you stop challenging your beliefs, when you’re scrolling, liking, agreeing without even knowing why—that’s where it starts. She walked me through a chilling example: a Facebook study where they manipulated nearly 700,000 users' moods without their knowledge. That’s real. That happened. And if that doesn’t wake you up, I don’t know what will. We also got personal. I shared how trauma—whether from rejection, heartbreak, or failure—can create space for a mind virus to take root. That voice in your head saying, “You’re not good enough,” “You’ll never succeed,”—that’s not truth. That’s programming. And unless you confront it, question it, and replace it, it’ll trap you in a version of your life that’s far smaller than what you were made for. Rebecca made it clear: being educated or intelligent doesn’t make you immune—it might even make you more vulnerable. This episode isn’t about conspiracy theories or pointing fingers—it’s about ownership. About reclaiming your identity, your voice, your individuality. Don’t go through life unknowingly living in someone else’s version of who you’re supposed to be. Don’t meet God at the end and realize you lived someone else's life because you never questioned your own thoughts. You want to change your life? Start by challenging what you assume to be true. Start asking better questions. Key Takeaways: Brainwashing often starts from within—when you stop questioning your own thoughts. Trauma can open the door for limiting beliefs to become your internal truth. Social media algorithms are designed to manipulate your mood and feed confirmation bias. There are 8 classic signs of brainwashing, but the key one? Control over your environment. Intelligence doesn’t protect you from mind control—it can deepen the illusion. Challenge your assumptions, and you can change your entire life trajectory. Let this be your wake-up call. You don’t have to be part of a group to have value. You’re not your past. You’re not your trauma. You're an individual—and your thoughts matter. 👉 SUBSCRIBE TO ED'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL NOW 👈 → → → CONNECT WITH ED MYLETT ON SOCIAL MEDIA: ← ← ← ➡️ INSTAGRAM ➡️FACEBOOK ➡️ LINKEDIN ➡️ X ➡️ WEBSITE Get my exclusive Monday Motivation training in GrowthDay, the world’s #1 app for advanced mindset and personal development. • Josh Duhamel: The One Shift That Rewired His Life After 50
    2025/06/10
What if the secret to longevity isn’t luck—but how you show up? In this episode, I sit down with someone I’ve been wanting to interview for a long time—actor and now wellness entrepreneur, Josh Duhamel. You’ve seen him in everything from Transformers to Las Vegas to his latest hit Ransom Canyon. But this conversation goes beyond the screen. It’s about the truth behind staying relevant, thriving in your 40s and 50s, and what it really means to lead—whether that's in your home, on set, or in your company. Josh opens up about the moments of self-doubt early in his career, the grind he still embraces, and how testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) helped him regain not just his energy, but his edge. We got real about aging, fatherhood, emotional strength, and the quiet confidence that comes from people believing in you—not just loving you. There’s a big difference between the two. And whether you're leading a team or raising a family, that distinction can change everything. We also talk about masculinity in today’s world—the evolving definition of what it means to be a man, and how important it is to stay grounded in spiritual connection. Josh talked about his circle of men who hold space for honest, vulnerable conversation and how that’s shaped the way he leads and lives. He’s not afraid to let people know he needs them, and that simple truth might just be the unlock for building loyalty, excellence, and connection in your team. This episode isn’t just about fame or fitness—it’s about the values that sustain you: humility, work ethic, emotional intelligence, and the courage to evolve. Josh proves that longevity in any field is earned through consistency, intention, and the willingness to stay coachable—even when you’ve “made it.” Key Takeaways: Why being emotionally accessible is a strength, not a weakness How testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) helped Josh reclaim his drive The importance of belief—how it’s more powerful than love in leadership Creating a work environment where everyone feels needed and valued Josh’s definition of masculinity and the role spiritual connection plays in his life How leaders like Steve Jobs and Mark Wahlberg modeled greatness through humility and discipline Don’t just listen—share this one with someone who needs to remember what showing up with purpose really looks like. In this Mashup episode, I’m pulling together life-changing conversations with some of the most mentally tough, spiritually grounded, and relentlessly committed leaders I’ve ever sat down with: Stephen A. Smith, Michael Chandler, Leila Hormozi, Ryan Hawk, and of course, you're going to hear from me too. Every one of us shares a common thread—confidence wasn’t something we were born with, it was built brick by brick through the actions we took and the beliefs we rewired. I open up about the painful origins of self-doubt, how those voices in your head? They were planted there by someone else—and they don’t belong to you. I break down the actual steps I use to build real self-confidence, the kind rooted in keeping promises to yourself, stacking small wins, and giving yourself credit where it counts—your intentions. Because if you don’t believe you deserve to win, you’ll never claim the life waiting for you. You’ll hear Michael Chandler talk about faith over fear in the literal cage fight of life, and how preparation—not perfection—is what fuels his self-worth. Leila Hormozi shares the raw truth of managing anxiety and using fear as a compass, not a stop sign. Stephen A. Smith brings fire as he talks about owning the stage, mastering your craft, and never negotiating with your commitments. And Ryan Hawk drills into the leadership side of confidence—why your environment and the temperature of your inner circle are everything. This episode is loaded with real talk, real tools, and real breakthroughs. There’s nothing surface level here. It’s about how to overcome the lies you’ve believed and step into the version of yourself that already exists—you just need to meet them. What you’ll learn in this episode: - Why self-doubt isn’t yours to carry—and how to eliminate it - The process I use to build unshakable self-confidence - Michael Chandler’s mindset for stepping into the cage with nothing to lose - How fear is often a mask for your next breakthrough (Leila Hormozi) - Why your inner circle either lifts your thermostat or cools it down (Ryan Hawk) - Stephen A. Smith’s killer mentality: “The audience is waiting to hear from me” This episode isn’t just about confidence—it’s a roadmap to reclaim your identity, your purpose, and your belief in what’s possible for your life. Now it’s your turn to take action. • What If You’re the One Holding You Back?
    2025/06/05
What if the pain you're facing right now is just preparing you to meet the strongest, most fulfilled version of yourself? In this special episode re-release, I’m reminding you of one thing: you were born to do something great with your life. Not just in big, visible ways—but in the quiet, meaningful moments that the world doesn’t always see. If you're in the middle of tough times, I want you to hear this—everything you're going through is temporary. And on the other side of that struggle? That’s where your “other self” is waiting. In this episode, I talk straight with you about how your thoughts shape your emotions, and how your emotions shape your reality. I share a lesson from Think and Grow Rich that helped me stop quitting and start innovating when life got hard. You’ll hear what it means to change your “emotional home,” and why peace, not chaos, is the fuel for a life of joy and meaning. Plus, I break down the four ways you can show up in 20 years—and challenge you to choose the version of yourself who becomes the one that changes everything. This isn’t just motivation—it’s a call to action. You’re not invisible. You’re not a victim. You’re the one. Take the floaties off. Jump into the deep end of your life. Key Takeaways: Why all pain is temporary—and how to outlast it How to recognize and reset your emotional home The six basic fears that keep most people stuck Why your dreams are closer than you think The four identities you'll choose from in life—and how to become the one How to move from invisible to hero to servant leader You were born for greatness. • The Marriage Secrets Every Couple Should Know But No One Teaches
    2025/06/03
Are You Speaking to Their Greatness or Their Deficiencies? This conversation challenged me in the best way—and I think it will challenge you too. I sat down with relationship coaches Jocelyn and Aaron Freeman, and we didn’t hold back. We got into the real, unfiltered truth about what makes a relationship thrive and what quietly breaks it down over time. And I’ll be honest—I learned a lot about myself in this one. We talked about why most couples argue the same way every time, how we start talking to our partner's flaws instead of their potential, and how easy it is to stop being curious about the person we love the most. That hit me hard. Because curiosity? It’s not just a phase when you're dating—it’s a choice. When you stay curious, people become more interesting. And when you stop being interested, they stop showing you who they really are. One of the most important takeaways: the “5 Rs” the Freemans teach—Reflect, Responsibility, Reconnect, Remind, Reconcile. It’s a practical framework that helps couples come back from conflict stronger. But what stood out even more was this mindset they kept coming back to: we’re on the same team. That phrase alone has the power to stop an argument in its tracks and realign a relationship that feels like it’s drifting apart. This episode is packed with real tools, honest moments, and a whole lot of heart. If you’re in a relationship—new or decades deep—there’s something here for you. You’re either training your partner that this is a safe space to share… or you’re teaching them to keep it all inside. That’s the choice. And I want you to choose connection. Key Takeaways: The most damaging part of conflict isn't the argument—it's the lack of repair after. Learn the 5 Rs to recover and reconnect after a disagreement. “Speaking to your partner’s greatness” builds them up and strengthens your bond. Curiosity is the secret to keeping relationships alive and engaging. One person can spark change, but both have to sustain it. You don’t have to end the relationship to end the version of it that isn’t working. Let this episode be the spark. Listen with your partner. Talk about it. And remember—you’re on the same team. In this special Mashup episode, I brought together four of the most impactful voices I know—Coach Prime (Deion Sanders), Rob Dyrdek, Dean Graziosi, and Dave “Heavy D” Sparks—to crack open a truth that most people overlook: the uncommon habit of observation. This isn’t about hustle or grind. This is about a whole new way of seeing, feeling, and living—one that can transform the quality of your decisions, relationships, and inner peace. I start by sharing how simply becoming an observer—of people, of moments, even of a single leaf—has increased my gratitude, my focus, and my intensity. Rob Dyrdek breaks down how becoming the man he wanted to be before meeting the woman of his dreams was the real game-changer. He didn’t wait on love—he prepared for it. Dean Graziosi shows us what real fulfillment looks like and how chasing the American Dream without connection can leave you empty, no matter how much you’ve achieved. Then Coach Prime gets raw about leadership, hate, faith, and the difference between being a leader and being a dog—and why you have to know who you are right now, not just who you used to be. We go all in. From the mechanics of presence to the power of holding a hug just two seconds longer, this is a masterclass in self-awareness, connection, and growth—and the kind of success most people never talk about. Here’s what you’ll learn from this episode: - Why observation is the hidden key to gratitude, influence, and sharper decisions - How Rob Dyrdek became the version of himself he needed before love arrived - The truth about success without fulfillment, from Dean Graziosi - What separates a leader from a dog, in Coach Prime’s unapologetic terms - Why holding a hug for six seconds might change your brain—and your relationships - The reason paying attention to your breathing can change the entire trajectory of your day - How staying connected to yourself unlocks better conversations, better performance, and better outcomes in everything This conversation isn’t about doing more—it’s about being more. Being more present, more aware, more real. Because if you can’t connect with yourself, you can’t connect with others. And if you can’t connect, you can’t win—at home, in business, or in life. So hold the gaze, feel the breath, and never forget: the real edge in life comes when you slow down enough to actually see it. • The Hidden Danger of Being Too Attached to Outcomes
    2025/05/29
Are your goals driving you—or draining you? In this month’s sit-down with my brother Brendon Burchard, we break open something rarely talked about but absolutely critical if you're chasing success: the difference between being committed to your goals and being attached to them. We’re not here to dish out motivational fluff—this is a raw conversation about mastering presence, building true rhythm in your life, and not letting your need for results rob you of your ability to perform at your best. Brendon and I talk about how most people get lost in the micro—obsessing over metrics, routines, and outcomes—while completely missing the bigger picture. Goals aren’t the problem; attachment is. I share the metaphor of a pro golfer who misses an easy putt—not because he lacks skill, but because he’s mentally fast-forwarding to what it means if he makes or misses. And in life, just like on the course, the moment you get needy, you drop your frequency. We also dive into what I’ve learned through experience and faith—how the real shift came when I started surrendering the harvest to God. Your job is to plant the seeds, do the work, show up—but the outcome? That’s not yours to control. I want you to think about this: who are you becoming? Because your state of being will take you further than any checklist or protocol ever will. Brendon and I just wrapped an unforgettable Ultra VIP event in Austin, where we went deep with a small group of high achievers on topics like these. If you're ready to experience this level of connection and transformation in person, check out Ultra.VIP for more details. Key Takeaways: Why presence matters more than pressure in moments of execution The difference between being needy for a goal and committed to a vision How “working the rhythm” can outperform chasing the result Why surrendering the outcome increases your ability to perform The identity shift from achiever to warrior—and how it changes everything What it really means to move in a direction instead of chasing random goals If this hits home for you, share it with someone who needs to hear it.
