The Environment Partnership was founded in 1997 by three partners, David Scott, Francis Hesketh and Ian Grimshaw. From humble beginnings working from a small office space in Birchwood in Warrington, they brought together their passion and expertise in landscape architecture, planning and science.
Fast-forward 25 years and with help from co-directors Graeme Atherton, Joanne Boothroyd, Katie Shilcock, Liz Seal and Nicola Hancock, TEP now employs over 150 staff across our five offices in Warrington, Gateshead, Market Harborough, London and Cornwall.
As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, it has prompted us to reflect on all the fantastic projects we have worked on and the many great things we have achieved over the years.
We have two of TEP’s directors introducing the first episode in our podcast series, Francis Hesketh and Katie Shilcock.
Francis is a founding director and specialist in ecology and green infrastructure. He’s a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and a Chartered Environmentalist. He’s also a member of CIEEM, the Institute of Chartered Foresters and an expert at the Design Council.
Katie is a director having joined TEP as a graduate ecologist. Alongside fellow directors, she is responsible for leading TEP's ecology team which includes over 40 ecologists based in each of TEP's offices. Katie also leads on many of TEP's cross disciplinary tenders and as Framework Director for a range of clients including Environment Agency, Southern Water and supporting on the management of Homes England Estate Management Service.
