It's been almost two months since the moral lapse of Steve Lawson took place and it seems that we are not much further on what happened or if there is any real spiritual progress by him toward repentance, recovery, and ultimate restoration to his church body. This episode of 2Days Denarius respectfully deals with the Steve Lawson situation as one that teaches all believers, especially those in ministry, lessons for living our lives of faith to avoid the slippery slopes that can lead to spiritual failings and falls. This presentation works off stories written about Lawson but they appear more alleged at times and it truly is a slippery slope to reach any conclusions about it. There is a larger issue from Lawson's fall and other high profile minister failings in 2024, which is a near universal setting aside of the doctrine of the church (ecclesiology) in our times. Our focus will be on this and how ministers should function with proper titles and shepherding responsibilities. It also calls for us to keep all affected by this situation in prayer and to pray for the church as a whole.
