  • No Condemnation
    2025/07/18

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Do you know that there are people we pass by every day that are living entrapped in fear and condemnation? Many know how vast their sins are but have no answer for what to do about it. They’re hopeless and lost. And what a pity if we don't go and tell them about the amazing grace found only in Jesus. Wari from Papua New Guinea was out with his team in a village witnessing when they came across a woman. And as the conversation developed, they asked her if she was sure that she was going to heaven. She replied, "No, I know I'm going to hell." Because of some great sins she committed in her past, she knew confidently where her destination was. But Wari said, "We have Good News for you!" And they told her about how Jesus paid for her sins on the cross in full. With tears in her eyes, she put her faith in Jesus Christ. You know, we can bring that hope to others as we’re sharing the Gospel? For resources how, visit sharelife.today.

  • Lost But Now Found
    2025/07/17

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Today, I want to share with you an incredible story from New Zealand! Raj and Joyce unexpectedly encountered two high school students at a local mall. After striking up a conversation, they asked them spiritual questions, and both girls accepted Jesus after hearing the Gospel! And as the conversation continued, they discovered that the girls were struggling and homeless. They had run away from their homes, and right before Raj and Joyce had arrived, they had been praying for help. They felt compelled to offer them not only spiritual guidance but also a place to stay for the night and a warm meal. Well, that same night, Raj conveyed the importance of repentance from sin as well as the story of the prodigal son. The girls felt both convicted and contacted their parents to tell them they were safe. The next day, they were joyfully reunited. Raj and Joyce praised God for this picture of redemption and reconciliation through the Gospel. Learn how you too can share by visiting sharelife.today.

  • Newness in Repentance
    2025/07/16

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone’s in Christ, he is a new creation…” And this is exactly what happened in Sam’s life. But, really, the story starts a Christian named Pete in Australia. Pete received a text from his pastor’s wife asking if he would speak with an ex-inmate facing difficult challenges in his life. Well, when they met, Sam was transparent about the many struggles and hardships that he was facing, including his hatred of those of a certain religion. Well, Pete quickly turned the conversation to spiritual matters and shared the Gospel with Sam. And with tears in his eyes, Sam accepted Jesus as his Savior and confessed that he had planned to hurt people at a local place of worship. But now, his hatred melted away as he realized that he was a sinner and that Jesus paid the debt for his sin. He repented of his plan and turned to Jesus. Hallelujah! • Going The Extra Mile
    2025/07/15

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

How far are we willing to go for the Gospel? Well, I know that it can sometimes feel impossible to even broach the topic of spiritual things with others; but truthfully, it is easier than we think. God provides opportunities for us to share, whether He brings the person to us or asks us to step out in faith and find them. And for some, they are very willing to go the extra mile. Beverly is the National Director of EE in Vanuatu, and it is common for her and her team to pack up a boat and sail across the ocean to another smaller island. And they do this to teach Christians how to confidently and lovingly share their faith, and then they see person after person give their lives to Christ. And if Beverly can do that for Jesus, well…we can too. So who can you go the extra mile to share the Gospel with this week? For more on how you can share your faith, visit sharelife.today. That’s sharelife.today.

  • Thriving Oceania
    2025/07/14

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

I’m excited this week to continue telling you more about what God is doing around the globe. And Oceania is our spotlight! In the ministry of Evangelism Explosion, we have seven key nations that span almost four thousand miles each way across the Pacific...and they help disciple Christians all across this vast continent! From New Zealand to the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea to the Cook Islands, and everywhere in between, Oceania is a large area to cover. And yet, the Gospel is going forth! Our Vice President of Oceania, Anne Bowie, shared with us recently that they have never experienced a better year in the ministry or more exciting time to be a Christian in Oceania. And this is because they are seeing young leaders being raised as disciple-makers in the church and more people than ever are making professions of faith in Jesus. • Let’s Go Out
    2025/07/11

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

In Matthew 9, Jesus says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” It’s easy to get caught up in church programs and forget—we’re also called to go out. Pastor Manat from Indonesia shared how many churches—including theirs—grow inward, focusing only on existing members while ignoring the lost. But recently, God stirred something powerful in his heart. He joined thirty other pastors and leaders from twelve churches for an one of our evangelism discipleship trainings in Parapat. They were equipped—and sent out! Together, they shared the Gospel with 88 high school students and 31 future pastors in training. They saw the Holy Spirit move and many place their trust in Jesus. The harvest is ready. And you don’t have to wait—you can be equipped to share your faith today! Let’s go into our communities with the Gospel. Visit our website at sharelife.today.

  • Growing and Going
    2025/07/10

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Being a follower of Jesus means being a lifelong learner—continually growing, being discipled, and equipping others to do the same. Our sanctification—becoming more and more like Jesus—doesn’t stop after one lesson or one experience; it’s our daily commitment to grow deeper in our faith by reading the Bible, praying, worshipping God, fellowshipping with other believers, and sharing the Gospel with those around us. Recently, at Lomasson Alliance Bible College in the Philippines, 43 seminary students from 37 churches took an evangelism discipleship training to help them learn how they could share their faith. They then went into their community to share the Gospel with 84 people—80 of whom made decisions to follow Jesus! Praise the Lord! Let’s be intentional and make investments in our spiritual growth. Whether you’re just starting or have been walking with Christ for years, you can begin today. • A Day Off
    2025/07/09

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

What if one day off could lead to a lifetime of impact? In Timor Leste, a group of pastors and children’s leaders decided to spend their free day not on rest—but on mission. These faithful Indonesian leaders chose to be equipped through a Hope For Kids training through our ministry, which is a children’s evangelism discipleship curriculum. Their goal? To learn how to share the Gospel clearly and confidently—and to disciple the next generation in their churches and communities. And they didn’t just attend—they engaged. With open hearts and eager minds, they practiced how to present the Gospel in a way children can understand. Their decision to be trained means the kids in their care will not only hear the Good News—but learn how to share it with others too. Let’s use our time for something that truly matters. Let’s start sharing the Gospel and discipling the next generation for Jesus. For resources to help you get started, visit our website at sharelife.today.
