    Tim Burton piace a tantissimi perché è riconosciuto come un regista dall'estetica inconfondibile, ma pochi sanno che il suo film più personale racconta una storia più vera che mai.
    Parlare di Edward D. Wood Jr è stato per anni un tabù: il "peggior regista di sempre" era un sognatore, un reietto che non smetteva di credere nella sua passione.

    Il protagonista perfetto per un film di Burton. Nel 1994 il regista trasformava il più sfigato degli artisti in un'icona. Se non conoscete questa storia, non temete: ve la raccontiamo noi.

Jesse Eisenberg ha sfruttato la sua esperienza personale per raccontarlo in A Real Pain, la sua seconda opera da regista e sceneggiatore. Il film affronta un viaggio di scoperta e catarsi attraverso le figure di David (interpretato dallo stesso Eisenberg) e Benji (Kieran Culkin), ma la storia dietro la sua realizzazione è ancor più particolare.
