あらすじ・解説
We’re back with final @Monday_mile_series episode of the year and this one is a special one! This week I’m joined by TikTok sensation, disability activist, author and broadcaster @lucyedwardsofficial
After losing her eyesight at the age of 17, Lucy has been a positive force for change ever since. Living by the motto #blindnotbroken, Lucy champions for more disability awareness through her social media, providing lighthearted and educational videos on what it’s like to live as a blind person.
She opens up about her story, how she dealt with going blind at such a young age and the grief that goes alongside that. Ever the positive light, Lucy shares that although she mourns the loss of her eyesight she truly wouldn’t want her life any other way because it’s what makes her who she is.
We also chat about her social media, why she started posting content and how shocked she was to realise how many people didn’t know more about what it’s like to live as a blind person.
It was so special to walk a mile with Lucy and hear more about her story! She’s such a beautiful and positive person and I’m glad I get to share a bit of that with you all this week.
