    1. The Problem — 14:1-3

    a. Don’t quarrel over things not commanded or forbidden (v1)

    b. Meat or only vegetables? (v2)

    c. God has welcomed both! (v3)

    2. The Principle of Freedom in Christ — 14:4-13a

    a. All believers are servants of Christ, so don’t judge (v4a)

    b. The Lord is able to make His servants stand (4b)

    c. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind (v5)

    d. Both are honoring the Lord and giving thanks to God (v6)

    e. Whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s (v7-8)

    f. Christ died and lived again for our freedom (v9)

    g. Don’t pass judgment or despise, all will stand before God (v10)

    h. There will be a universal judgment at some point (v11)

    i. So then each of us will give an account of himself to God (v12)

    j. Let us not therefore judge one another any more (v13a)

    3. Do Not Cause Another to Stumble — 14:13b–15:3

    a. Freedom includes being free not to use your freedom (v13b)

    b. It is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean (v14)

    c. Honor the consciences of others by walking in love (v15a)

    d. Don’t destroy the one Christ died over trivial things (15b)

    e. So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil (v16)

    f. The kingdom of God is of righteousness and peace and joy (v17)

    g. Serving Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men (v18)

    h. Pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding (v19)

    i. We are not to destroy God’s work over trivial things (v20)

    j. It is good to not cause your brother to stumble (v21)

    k. You’re blessed with a clear conscience (v22)

    l. Self-condemnation comes from your conscience, not God (v23)
