The evening of May 6 saw a reported shooting near Warm Springs Road and Arroyo Grande Boulevard. Responding officers secured the area and located one injured adult victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. The investigation is ongoing; no suspect description has been released, and police request any witnesses come forward.
A carjacking was reported in the vicinity of Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway on May 7. According to victim statements, an unknown male suspect approached the vehicle, implied possession of a weapon, and fled in the victim’s car. Police are actively seeking public assistance. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black jeans.
On May 8, a string of vehicle break-ins was reported along Eastern Avenue in the MacDonald Ranch neighborhood. Multiple vehicles sustained broken windows and property was stolen from inside. The incidents are under investigation.
Throughout the week, police continued to monitor trends in property crime, including vehicle thefts and burglaries, with no significant increase in violent crime reported. Authorities encourage residents to secure vehicles and property and to report suspicious activities.
