    Recipe: Tiramisu

    Ingredients:

    • 6 large egg yolks
    • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 cup mascarpone cheese (8 oz, softened)
    • 1 ¾ cups heavy whipping cream
    • 2 cups brewed espresso or strong coffee (cooled to room temperature)
    • Rum or coffee liqueur (optional; amount based on preference)
    • 2 packages ladyfingers (about 40 total)
    • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
    • Hershey Unsweetened Cocoa mix (optional, for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. Make the Cream Filling:

      • Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick (about 5 minutes).
      • Add mascarpone cheese and whisk until smooth.
    2. Whip the Cream:

      • Beat heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form (4-5 minutes).
      • Fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently.
    3. Prepare the Espresso:

      • Mix cooled espresso with liqueur in a shallow dish (if using).
    4. Assemble the Tiramisu:

      • Lightly dip ladyfingers in the espresso mix and layer in a dish.
      • Spread half the mascarpone cream mixture on top.
      • Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining cream.
    5. Chill:

      • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
    6. Finish and Serve:

      • Dust with unsweetened cocoa powder before serving.
