Rae Shawn is in conversation with Monique Fisher, Marwa Hussain, Laura Gorgoni and Dovey about the upcoming charity anthology One Page, One Love which releases May 6, 2025.
Monique Fisher is a theatre and comic book geek who always has her hands glued to the keyboard conjuring up happily ever afters. She writes modern, fun, real-life romances set in cities and small towns featuring a diverse cast of big hearted, lovable characters. She has written and released six books including four which serve as the introduction to her MRCU (Mo’s Rom-Com Universe). Her seventh book is coming August of 2025. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Joe, their two boys Michael and Alexander and their canine babies Abraham aka Hammy and Maya aka Pie. Her dream is to write full time without the aid of a nine to five. Fingers crossed!
I’m Dovey! I write black sapphic stories. The genre I mainly write in is romance but recently I have dipped into trying to write romance horror. It’s been going good so far but I don’t know how well I’m doing. My goal in writing is to spread various black sapphic stories where it’s not all about toxicity and trauma.
Marwa Hussain is an Indian storyteller, freelance book coach, and developmental editor. She is currently working on her debut novel–a YA urban fantasy and fairytale retelling that blends all our favorite childhood tales and Arthurian legends with a dark twist. When she isn’t writing, she’s scouring others’ shelves for weird and creepy stories to add to her TBR, and vicariously living through her Sims.
Laura Gorgoni writes queer fiction with a love for all things eerie, macabre, and just a little unhinged. They have a particular fascination with the rage of women, the messiness of mother-daughter relationships, and the queer subtext that horror has been serving for centuries.
One Page, One Love is a flash fiction romance anthology celebrating the power of love in all its forms, one page at a time. This collection brings together a diverse array of love stories, with some told in a single page and others in just a few, ranging from heartwarming and passionate to laugh-out-loud funny.
All proceeds from this anthology will be donated to the ACLU in support of their mission to defend and preserve civil liberties.
