    This week we tread carefully around the April fools holiday, trying to discern fact from fiction since it happens to be be the opening days of CinemaCon, delivering news that, at times, seems unbelievable.

    Chief among them is the cast announcement for Sony’s Sam Mendes driven, 4-movie spectacular… The Beatles! Were the rumors true?

    Plus other news from CinemaCon, including the rest of the Sony Pictures release slate such as Spider-Man and the newly titled “Brand New Day”.

    Outside of the treacherous news cycle we also get a new trailer from Talk To Me directors’ new film, Bring Her Back.

    We then dabble in a bit of what we’re into, and you may not be surprised.

    Avengers Doomsday Full Cast (Quoted From Deadline)

    Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Florence Pugh (Yelena) are some of the actors the studio has confirmed on their live stream.

    Other actors set to appear in Doomsday include Tenoch Huerta (Namor), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Thing) and Kelsey Grammer (Beast).

    The film also stars Lewis Pullman (Sentry), Danny Ramirez (Joaquín Torres / Falcon), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Winston Duke (M’Baku), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Tom Hiddleton (Loki), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier / Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Channing Tatum (Gambit).

    Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic) was also confirmed to join the MCU.

    Robert Downey Jr. made an appearance at the end of Marvel’s livestream.

    Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

    We take a look at some of the big winners of the night (and losers), but we also get into the best looks of the night, best moments, CONAN, the musical numbers (what was with that Bond tribute?), and yes, those speeches.

    The Punchies bring the best and brightest to the forefront with such categories as “Best Movie”, “Best Show”, and of course, “Dumbest thing Ed said this week”!

    Each nerd gets a chance to highlight their favorites of 2024 with some unexpected surprises.

    Plus a bevy of news! The world mourns Amazon getting creative control of the James Bond movies as well as Kathleen Kennedy stepping down from LucasFilms (Star Wars). What will the future be for some of our favorite franchises?

    Then the nerds wrap it all up in a bow with “What We’re Into” but not before bullying Ed some more with “Let’s talk about this now”.

    • "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2015): This film introduced new characters Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), while bringing back original trilogy icons Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

    • "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" (2016): A standalone film featuring Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, and Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic.

    • "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (2017): Continuing the saga with returning actors Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac, joined by Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

    • "Solo: A Star Wars Story" (2018): A prequel featuring Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, with Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra.

    • "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" (2019): Concluding the sequel trilogy with Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren.

    • "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" (2023): The fifth installment in the Indiana Jones series, starring Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role.

    Additionally, Kennedy has produced several live-action series for Disney+, including "The Mandalorian" (2019–present), "The Book of Boba Fett" (2021), "Obi-Wan Kenobi" (2022), "Andor" (2022–present), and "Ahsoka" (2023–present).
