  • How to be a patient in Perrysburg (Medical Series Part 2 of 4)
    2025/06/06

Disclaimer: The information in this episode is for general information only. It is not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for any health concerns you may have.

The FULL show notes can be found at https://www.perrysburgpodcast.com/98

This is Part 2 in my 4-part medical series. Here’s some basic information about the series:

    • Part 1 was about Prime IV Hydration and Wellness. If you missed my conversation with the owner, Shannon Cazel and her Lead Nurse Chelsea Honsberger, listen to episode 78.
    • Today is part 2. I titled it, “How to be a patient in Perrysburg” because we’re talking about healthcare for humans.
    • Part 3 will be about pet care in September.
    • Part 4 will be about pharmacies in October. (October is American Pharmacists Month.)

The purpose of this series is to provide resources for current and future Perrysburg, OH residents. In this episode, I talk about my family’s move from Toledo to Perrysburg in 2007 and how we dealt with finding new providers. Long story short, it took a long time. Along the way, some of our trusted providers moved away or retired. Whether you’re moving here or already live here, you’ll learn something helpful in this episode.

Do you have a binder or folder for your medical records? You should! I take notes in a spiral-bound notebook each time I have a medical appointment, and I keep running records in a file folder. What’s in the folder?

    • List of health conditions
    • Pharmacy info: name, address, and phone number
    • List of medications
    • Allergies: to drugs, foods, insects, topical agents, etc.
    • Vaccination history
    • List of Healthcare Providers (last 5 years)
    • Surgery history
    • Other procedures (mammogram, etc)
    • Hobbies and interests
