The Hebrew word they used was 'efes' (אפס), which means 'zero', and that's exactly what it did to everything positive they'd just said. When we say 'but,' we erase all the good that came before it. 'You did great, BUT...' 'I love you, BUT...' Next time you want to give feedback or share concerns, try using 'and' instead. It honors both the positive and addresses the challenge without destroying hope. Words have the power to build nations or tear them down. Choose wisely. Shabbat Shalom. 💬
