HIGHWAY 75 NEAR DOWNTOWN
A pursuit occurred on Highway 75 northbound near downtown Omaha on Wednesday night, April 24, at approximately 11:45 p.m. Nebraska State Patrol attempted to stop a Dodge Dakota that was failing to maintain its lane. The driver refused to yield and accelerated, reaching speeds of approximately 95 miles per hour. The pursuit lasted about two miles before the vehicle slowed. The driver was arrested for 4th DUI following the incident.
The past week has seen minimal reported criminal activity in the Omaha area based on available public records. This represents a decrease from previous weeks' incidents. The most serious reported incident involved the high-speed pursuit on Highway 75 resulting in a DUI arrest.
