A pleasure to chat again with Nathalie who has a new single out 'Jamais'
It's very good and I play all of it which I think is a first for Music Stories !

Even if you can't speak French the essence of the song shines through, Jamais means Never and reflects on some of Nathalie's struggles in the music world, never giving up is her very inspirational message, something every single person in the industry will identify with.

Nathalie also has a great Christmas song out, 'Bring My Baby Back' is a fun and catchy track that is sure to cheer anyone up for Christmas. I play a bit of that too so you will hear what I mean.

It's that time of the year (December 2024) and there's lots of great Christmas songs out !

A pleasure to chat to Janet Devlin who's career has gone from strength to strength from the age of 16.
She has toured with Russell Crowe in Australia, came 5th in X Factor in 2011, been on TV, and had her music played on BBC Radio 2 as just some examples. I find out all about those events and what it was like and much more in the interview.

Janet tells me about her new song 'Best Life' which is out now (November 2024) and what inspired her to write it. She tells me about her past addictions and alcohol and mental health problems which are reflected in the song, it's a fabulous track and please take a listen, I didn't play it because she said she gets upset when she hears it back.

She has some very good advice about social media content for musicians trying to be successful which I know will be of great value.

Very good to catch up with Katherine from The Mediaeval Baebes (yes it's spelt like that!) We last spoke almost exactly a year ago as December is the group's busiest time as you will hear in the interview.

Music Stories is to hopefully help those in the music business with both publicity and to give tips and advice to others, in this interview with the inspirational Belen from Spain, I hear not only about her music ( which is excellent) but what it's like to start out in the creative music world too.

During the interview her beautiful cat appeared and builders were working on her ceiling and said goodbye, none of which phased her at all !

Hattie is a professional Singer, Songwriter and Harpist with new music out now.
A first for Music Stories as she is actually feeding her baby Noah throughout the interview! (Listen for the slurps and burbs!).
Her single 'Ruined in The Rain' is about suicide and Hattie explains the inspiration behind the song, I play a bit for you, it's VERY good! The album 'Wild Medicine is superb.
She toured with Leonard Cohen for 6 years and she tells me what that was like and gives some interesting and different tips on how to cope with the stress of being on tour. Fascinating!
She has also just been touring with the amazing David Gilmour, playing Harp with his daughter on stage in his band. How cool is that!
