The first portion of this episode deals with the multiple suspicious fires that have plagued Jacksonville since March 2022. More than two dozen suspicious fires have hit the city during that time span. The Illinois State Fire Marshal and the Jacksonville Police & Fire Departments need help solving the cases. There was recently a suspicious fire in the Village of Meredosia, as well.
The second part of the episode deals with the recent disappearance of Britney Hoffman-Kelly from Quincy. Her husband Chadwick Kelly died in a shootout with the Missouri Highway Patrol days before Christmas, but she has not been found. She was last seen in St. Charles, MO on Dec. 14. Authorities have turned the case from a missing persons case to a homicide investigation.
The last part of the episode deals with the mysterious disappearance of Jeremy Register from Springfield. Register hasn't been seen or heard from by his family or friends since May. His girlfriend was last seen with him. She says she doesn't know where he is or where he went. Confrontations on social media have gotten ugly. Police are looking for any clues to go on.
