In this episode I am speaking with 2 of the amazing group The Grey Dippers which is a group of guys who are from North Ayrshire and every winter they take on a massive challenge of cold dipping all winter for charity as they raise money for the North Ayrshire Foodbank.

In that time they have become inspirational characters and have really rallied the community behind them. I loved this relaxed, funny conversation hearing all about what they are doing and how tough it is at times but they keep going.

Started in August 2022 me and joe smith went for a dip as we always fancied it then called out Lee Riddex on facebook to join us. Over the next week one by one people followed and the group was formed.

The name grey dippers was just made up by Lee Riddex due to us being on a bit in age The group consists of 9 guys Tam Kane Lee Riddex Joseph Smith David Kane Tony Clarke Colin Booth James McLeod James Booth Gordon Woods After dipping for a few weeks we came up with the idea of doing it for charity. I approached the foodbank told them we could raise a couple of grand hopefully and we took it from there. 3 years later and nearly 60 grand has been raised The link for the boys to donate to their wonderful cause is here:
