When we think about the end times we think about there being a thousand years of peace....but what does the Bible actually say about that?

In Revelation 20, the Bible states "Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit[a] and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while."

The Great Apostasy refers to a time when people start to fall away from the Christian faith. This has to happen to make way for the Antichrist to be able to take his place in end times prophecy.

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Matthew 24:10-14

And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another..And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
